Three I can live with; one offensive, one defensive, one “special (power play/penalty kill) team.Apparently they will add another alternate before the season starts.
But five? No.

No.Should be another fun tournament. Will Yale, Sacred Heart, or UConn have the talent and game plan to knock off Quinnipiac (The Kings of the Connecticut Ice Tournament).
Maybe not, but we shall see. At the very least it will be a nice measuring stick for the teams and the kids. It will show the teams and players what they need to work on to improve.No.
Well I guess the other way to look at it is UConn is getting Home &Home with Holy Cross. Cornell had to play a pair at Sacred Heart.Meanwhile, Sacred Heart got two weekend home games with Cornell and Yale got a home game vs Denver.
I'd rather them go on the road and play a legit NCHC or Big Ten team than continually playing Holy Cross becuase the schools are close to each other.Well I guess the other way to look at it is UConn is getting Home &Home with Holy Cross. Cornell had to play a pair at Sacred Heart.
I wonder if Holy Cross may eventually become the twelfth HE men's team (not my choice; if not QU, then Sacred Heart would suit me), as Hockey East is so Boston-area focused. They have been an HE women's team for years. Perhaps we are playing home-and-home as an HE prelude. Or we are just so bad, we need wins.I'd rather them go on the road and play a legit NCHC or Big Ten team than continually playing Holy Cross becuase the schools are close to each other.
