UConn is going Bowling > Wasabi Fenway Bowl v. Army (Saturday 12/27/25 @2:15 on ESPN)

Really, what does it pay? I can't find that number anywhere.
Yes, they have not published the number and it is complicated because the money doesn't directly go to the schools, but it goes into the conference revenue pool to be distributed. But, you can figure out the bowl tier for the ACC and AAC and compare it to the payouts for other ACC/AAC bowls. And, you have to take into account other issues like teams that have already played or play frequently or geography. It looks like the ACC sends their #7 to #12 school to Fenway, This year, it would have been Louisville, the #7 ACC school, but they traded for Boca, although with a lower payout. So, the Fenway Bowl pays more than the Gasparilla ($1.2 mill) and Boca ($900k), but less than Pinstripe ($4.4 mill) and Sun Bowl ($4.6 mill) and around what the Military Bowl pays ($2.1 mill).

And the original bowl was to be between the ACC and the old AAC which included Cincinnati, Houston, SMU, and UCF (UConn announced they were leaving before the Fenway Bowl was announced) and the original rumor was that the payouts were going to be about equal. But, with the reformation of the AAC, there were rumors that the AAC payout would be reduced.

The amount of people here who are complaining about being in the Fenway Bowl is crazy to me.

Let's show up on large numbers, get our program's first 10-win season, and prove once again that WE deliver the New England market, not those clowns north of us in the conference that we just won through transitive property...
I can't go to the game but I'll definitely be watching from North Dakota. I'm not overly excited about the matchup, but you can do much worse than Army who's a decent team and should be a good game

Looks like they went up from $45 to $65. I can only assume the extra $20 is for the additional performance they arranged, which you literally could not pay me to attend, nevermind get me to subsidize financially.
Mine went up $10 from last year... seemed in line with ticket price inflation I've seen with other performances 🤷‍♂️

Because that means that our program has not improved standing despite all of the evidence to the contrary. Going to the same bowl two years in a row means this program is stuck.
Quantitatively and qualitatively, UConn’s current 9-3 record with 2 wins against P4 opponents is already better than last season’s 9-4 final record.

In addition to UConn the program’s first-ever consecutive 9 win seasons, potentially defeating Army would result in the Huskies’ first 10 win FBS season.
