UConn in the NBA Nov 2025

Respect. I just had to hear the reason for it. I never personally enjoyed watching Rip as much as the others either. Even though he is the guy who has all the accomplishments (AA, POY, NC, NBA Champ, All Star, etc.)

Ben is so high up on that list. Him at UConn and the NBA were amazing to watch.

That’s how I am. It’s tough to leave him off a list objectively but my personal list I liked those other guys more.

Another solid night for Cam (11-2-4, 0 turnovers, 4-8 shooting). Grizz were blown out but they played a little better when he was out there - Knicks actually went on a run once he checked out in the first half to take it from 10 to 20 pretty quick. But he’s proving to be a reliable bench piece - will consistently get a couple buckets and do a few positive things.

Yeah so I’ve watched 5 of his games this year.

We know he is an elite defender, he hasnbeen scoring/rebounding super well and is playing less minutes because of it.

His rebounding numbers have been fine/great. He's at 18th in the NBA at 8.8 per game in less than 25 minutes per game. He's top ten in rebound percentage (heavily due to him being top four in OR%. His offense is an issue, but he gives Portland about four extra possessions a game on offense due to his OR, and a lot of those are either converted by him, or lead to kick outs. These aren't him tapping the ball at the rim over and over on one possession.

His assist numbers are solid also.

Now his offensive game/post game is in need of work, that I agree on but he's up from under 20 MPG to 25 this year, so he's progressing even in terms of PT.

Cam continues to produce. 11 points on 4-8 (2-5 3P) with 4 assists in 18 minutes. Team high +10 in a 13 point loss

Tyrese had 13 minutes off the bench but was scoreless with 1 rebound and 1 assist

Drummond got the start again with Embiid out. 14 points and 13 rebounds on 6-11 (0-2 3P)

I screen grabbed this from Spurs forum and they talked about how good Castle has turned out for them and they would’ve drafted him #1 if that’s what it took in that years draft.

His number is off the charts and not too far off from SGA, not saying that he will be ever as good but the trajectory is there.

According to the #'s on the chart Castle's #'s are better than SGA's.

Would like to say I've been making the SGA comparison maybe since before he stepped foot on campus.

This is the area we have been in agreement on - I said Jimmy Butler, Cade, SGA type arc. Jrue but with Butler’s offense. These types of comps.

Granted that’s what I presume was a full season for SGA and only however many games so far for Castle. That being said, I fully expect him to sustain it and see Castle as a future regular all-NBA guy.

I remember when JJ Redick asked Matas Buzelis who the best player he played with at some camp and he said Castle. Words to the effect of, "I didn't even think he was looking at me and he passed it to me in perfect shooting position." Castle is doing that in the pros every game now.

Early triple-double watch. Steph with 4-4-3 with five minutes left in first quarter.
14-5-7 … but has to sit with 3:15 left in the half with 3 fouls holding curry off the ball.

Has even been a little unlucky with stats - lost a rebound on a foul away from the ball. Had an assist to Vassell but Vassell’s 3 rattled out. He got Wemby the ball literally right under the rim and Wemby had a share the love moment and kicked it out to for a three instead of dunking it.

One turnover - had his pocket picked on a reach in that was probably a foul.

I was just going to post this. 14pts/5rbs/7asts in 14 minutes. He's figured all out, and the game is in slo-mo now. we are seeing his meteoric rise to stardom. He will be a double-double machine from here on out with Fox/Wemby/Kornet in the lineup. The world if he can shoot half decent.

Castle effect: As soon as he was out with 3 fouls, the spurs 14point lead (with Wemby and Fox both on court) shrank to 7...

He is on triple double watch tonight as long as he is not fouled out.

Have we ever seen a player that makes this much a year-2 leap?

Just picked up his 4th foul with 8+ minutes left in the 3rd.

Edit- Spurs won the challenge and there was an offensive foul on Draymond which preceded Steph's foul. But then he picked up his 4th for real 30 seconds later.

Not in awhile… he stands out as one of the best players on the floor and he’s in his 2nd year.

He’s something special!

Frustrating foul trouble - both for his own stat line and because he was doing a decent job on curry and now curry is going off.

Dumb fouls too. He was grabbing him around the waist to stay “connected” coming off screens and curry just easily sold the fouls.

He grabs a lot defensively, gets them called a lot too.

Steph with 23/10/10 and two turnovers. One did come late in the fourth on a bad skip pass but overall a really impressive showing tonight.

Crazy to think Steph may be better than Fox already.

Haven't put much thought into it, but I wonder how close he is to an all star game bid this year.

I think there's plenty of time but if you looked at the all-stars right now, he would be. His stats and impact are not just good for a 2nd year guy who we all love, he's been incredible objectively.

The Spurs are good, Wemby is an obvious, but he's the 2nd best player by a mile.
