I want them to be as tired as possible! Cuz our game is just a couple hours or so later right?
Duke vs Oklahoma is at 3 eastern. UConn plays the winner at 9, so they'll get a few hours off between games.
You never really know how relievers will respond to pitching 3+ hours apart, which ends up being the main concern. Obviously anyone who throws 40+ pitches in the afternoon game you'd expect to not be available at night, though in the NCAA tournament some crazy stuff happens in terms of abusing arms by professional standards - just look at starters going 120+ pitches which happens this time every year. For most of these kids, their baseball days are done after college so any kind of conventional logic pretty much goes out the window in that regard.
The most important thing is UConn should have every pitcher available tomorrow outside of Cooke and Quigley. Plus in a scenario where UConn is down a few runs they can choose to save some bullets by not using Quinn/Afthim to have them be fresh for Monday, while the other team can't really afford the same luxury.
