I wondered the same thing at first. Defensively, he's an obvious fit. His passing and ballhandling would make him a great 3 for us, since he's that big guard Hurley likes. The only issue is the shooting. I think it just means all of our other guards need to be shooters.

He needs a shooting coach. Get his hand off the front of the ball and raise the set point. It is ugly.

As long as we've got enough shooters, it's fine. He's the total package, minus the shot. And the kid is so dynamic I don't think it matters, and that's leaving aside the fact that he could certainly develop a shot. Plus, having a kid like Akok at the 4, who will hopefully be able to step outside mitigates an hole Jackson has in that area.

Problem in the past is we had almost nobody who could shoot or score inside. Not so now.

The one additional piece he seems to have over “slasher that can’t shoot” is his passing. Not many college freshman have EVERY piece, or they’d be a one-and-done. Jackson ticks off more boxes than he doesn’t though.
 
IF Jackson does the right thing and picks UConn it could be a decisive point in time where Cuse fans have had enough of JB and his old show. Jackson was a lock from their backyard for two years now, maybe more. IF it happens it won’t go over easy with their fans and I could see where many of them turn on JB for losing him last minute. It will certainly demonstrate he is losing draw.
I’m not celebrating till it’s official. With care and respect for Matrim and Zion they’re only human and info is only as good as the last 10 minutes.

Reality is I believe Zionn and Matrix have info that made them post what they posted so thanks for that.

Unfortunately he’s not in Storrs anymore and he’s still a teenager with those around him wanting something other than his choice. The fact it’s not official keeps me from celebrating but I hope they’re right. Waiting anxiously and cautiously for that title to change to “Jackson is a Husky”....we will see!:cool:

meanwhile, we have these infamous billboards in the ohio countryside. the mls teams in cincinnati and columbus call their rivalry "hell is real" because of these billboards between the cities

really makes you think as you drive along

It’s the Albany thing.

Cmon. Albany is Smallbany. Fran McCaffrey as Siena HC is tied into Fruscio at AA & Albany City Rocks. Etc etc. He certainly is amongst the hoop guys who gang up in Saratoga in August. (Pitino, Raftery etc). And AJ parents certainly have been brought along in the crew. Because WTF else is a great connection there.

I’m not surprised by Iowa.

Dude he cancelled his Iowa visit. He isn't going there.

The joy was through the roof about AJ even with no commitment yet announced. Then, NL's impending visit was cancelled which quickly got people nervous about what that might mean............what if we really had a chance at Lane but now he's skipping his OV.........then what if AJ doesn't commit or changes his mind?

You know, the usual ups and downs of emotions here.

Thank you for dumbing it down for me. It would def put everyone at ease if AJ had officially committed before Lane cancelled his OV. One has to believe that Lane was told something about AJ committing, so why waste everyone’s time visiting us. After all, he knew AJ was visiting us before him. Why cancel after his visit? If he just simply wasn’t into us, he could’ve cancelled before AJ’s visit. So he has to know something that just hasn’t been made official yet.

I know we love to hate them and we try to diminish them every chance we get (and rightfully so), but that might be taking just a fewwww too many liberties with the truth of their history.
