When this class gets to UConn next year, Geno will try to get the rules changed to play 120 minute games with 3 basketballs. There is just way, way too much fire power on next year's team to play by the current rules.

I agree with everything except ... Uconn has an ability to get the right top talent. When you look at the true greats coming out of HS Uconn has gotten more than it's fair share, and unlike the men's game they get to keep them for four years. In the time that Baylor and TN got their one player (Griner and Parker) Uconn got three Moore, Stewart and EDD who they lost immediately. No other team has gotten one. (Maybe Stanford with Nneka?) And they surround those players with other #1 rated players or equivalents in Tina, KML, Moriah (technical #2 but behind Breanna so sort of a standard quality #1) and Lou, and filled in the blanks with high quality complementary players Rene, Morgan, Napheesa, Gabby, etc.
Almost all the players Uconn gets match or exceed the expectations placed on them by the rating services, and that as you note is what is truly special, and still others completely blow lesser expectations out of the water

It's entirely possible that Stewart might not have come to Storrs if EDD had stayed. That might have changed her decision though that's pure conjecture. In any case, we've gotten more than our share of talent but the primary reason was Geno and his staff. Everyone here knows that he had very little talent here when he came and it took time to draw the interests of the better players in the country but the fact that he did so much with so little and talented kids started noticing brought us to this moment. Right of course: pure conjecture. My conjecture is that nothing would have stopped Stewie from coming to UConn. It wasn't to be the star or to have a certain amount of playing time, but to have Geno coach her.

It's true that over the years there have been so many talented ladies that have contributed in so many ways to make the UConn program the envy of not just women's basketball programs but athletic programs of all types.

You have your time line wrong. If you mean Elena Delle Donne, as EDD, she would have had no effect on Stewie's decision. EDD last season would have been 2011-12. Stewie's first was 2012-2013. The only thing of speculation on if EDD stayed was whether UConn would have won 4 in a row. They won NC in what would have been her Fr and So years. They lost in the final 4 in what would have been her Jr and Sr years. Instead of 6 of the last 8, it might have been 8 in a row.
