K is used to handing out cash, so he might might a decent GM. I just wonder how he would do in a world where everyone else is also paying players a similar amount of money.Heard it Coach K

I think he brings the concept of “premature joy” to many areas of his lifeIt just means that once again he's willing to announce something prematurely.
Why would you question if Moore has 10+ years of coaching left in him when a predecessor went another 14 years? I don't understand your problem with Moore's age, I guess.73 but what’s he have to do with Moore?
Well for one thing Moore is 60 and already has been considering stepping back from coaching for a few years if the rumors are to be believedWhy would you question if Moore has 10+ years of coaching left in him when a predecessor went another 14 years? This is an entirely new age in college basketball with the advent of NIL and Portal. Comparing Calhoun to Tom is apples to oranges. In addition, coaches such as Tony Bennett retired at 54.and Jay Wright around 60. Granted they were head coaches but more pressure now with the new landscape. Why would you question if Moore has 10+ years of coaching left in him when a predecessor went another 14 years? The perfect guy to lead our program. Passion can carry you a long way.Hurley’s quote from that article says it all. Don’t know what we will win from year to year but whatever happens the effort of the coaches and staff will not be in question.
“I’m demanding, so it’s always hard for me to find people to hire. They have to share that same kind of obsession and they can’t be looking for life balance.”
I suppose if this is disclosed upfront, it's not an issue. And from what I remember from Nardi as a player, he seems to be properly unbalanced. As in basketball-lifer, that is....they can’t be looking for life balance.”
What does he have; 5 rings?Tom is 59 but soon to be 60. Seems young to retire but you never know.
As long as he is on stand by for rebounding drills. He’s been in the coaching world for almost 40 years. I hope he sticks it out for a bit longer, he’s a really valuable coach to have & we know he won’t leave at this point. But I can’t blame him if he’s about ready to hang it up, he can draw on his retirement accounts at this point.
According to Hurley Tom has very little time for coaching as he is doing all the crazy financial stuff which is only going to get crazier. Call him GM or a assistant ADHe’s been in the coaching world for almost 40 years. That is the standard at elite levels. Nick Saban has that and he passed it on to Kirby Smart. Kirby had a guy (Matt Luke) resign to spend time with his family (watch his son play football, I think) only to spring up at Clemson shortly after.Hurley’s quote from that article says it all.
