.314 hitter at a d1 school. Not a lot of power but does everything else. Good leadoff candidate. Nice get!

The superstars will need to come from high school recruiting (the Lane’s of the world) but not losing your best players to the transfer portal while siphoning the best players from local D1 schools is a great way to build up depth and plug holes.

Jonathan Law had 4 D-1 Pitchers. Unfortunately, none of them are coming to Storrs.

Appears to have no speed and lots of errors unfortunately. But I’ll take a good d1 bat any day.

Currently not showing up on the PG top 500 draft prospects or the mlb top 200 but the talent is obvious and all it takes is one team to fall in love. Think we’ll be sweating until draft day with Lane

agree. this could be one of those 11th round way over slot offers to keep him from going to UConn. Lets hope thats not the case.

Cayden Suchy is rated at No. 479 in the high school class of 2024 by perfectgame.org. Not bad. Most UConn recruits year in and year out are ranked in the 500 to 1000 range by that recruiting service (they don't break down an actual number 500 or over).

Perfectgame.org has Gabriel Tirado rated at No. 225 in the high school class of 2024. Suchy and Tirado are the only UConn recruits for the coming season under the top 500 in their high school rankings. Nothing unusual about that for UConn recruiting.

For those who are wondering, Perfectgame.org has Connor Lane ranked in their Top 500, which to them includes players from No. 500 to No. 999. Those individual rankings are not spelled out.

First Team All-State selection @ both Pitcher and Outfielder.

Unless you participate in Perfect Game events, they don't really give you much interest in their ratings. There are guys that I can tell you are better than folks ranked in the top 300 of PG, but because they are with Prep Baseball or some other service, they get ranked much lower. Perfect Game is not the end-all by any means (none of them are, frankly).

In the NECBL, the Keene roster lists a senior outfielder by the name of Sam Biller as being from UConn. Biller played the last few years with Loyola Marymount, but appears to be transferring to UConn for his last college baseball season.

I think Biller just arrived at Keene, he has not yet played any games for them.

By the way, Biller is listed in the D1Baseball.com transfer portal, but they don't have him connected to UConn yet.
