That would be a plus even though I am not a big fan of leaving the other team in the lurch. Coach Candle can recruit, we know that. I'm hopeful he can work the portal and I'd rather him find some established players from other programs, especially from the P4.Bring some players with you. You don’t just recruit a coach, you recruit a team.
Number 79 overall; UConn at 111

Rest easy @jostar1…Can't we get a tweet saying that he IS UConn's new coach, instead of "expected"?
Sorry - I am reposting my post from the other thread since that thread was just closed.
What a week. This is a great morning, let's freakin go UConn nation. Mora did amazing things for us, but he didn't quite have his heart in Huskyland. AD David Benedict probably grew tired of the ever increasing Mora maintenance and so he slow played the CSU counter and rolled the dice. But the dice AD David Benedict threw were loaded, he knew this time around we'd have options. Well played AD David Benedict.
I liked Cahill's trajectory and Huff's resume a little better but he sounds like a solid hire and hopefully we'll find Mora can't hold a Candle to him. This tweet might even be more important than the Candle tweets. A guy that covers college football for something called the "NIL Wire" mentioning that UConn is increasing our NIL pool and revenue share yet again, on top of a robust salary pool for staff.
I don't know much about Candle other than what I've read over the last 48 hours, admittedly. But if he's as solid as coach and recruiter as I've heard, and if he has the resources to do it even better now, we're gonna punch some people in the mouth
I think that spend the money elsewhere. We have no idea what we had on the bench. Now can we hire an OC that can drag his QB along with him like Charleton did?
