Maybe something is brewing or maybe UConn just wants to cut off any narratives in the media about why Mora left.
The narrative why Mora left is well know. Mountains.

I'm referring to national perceptions... Nationally the narrative remains we are a basketball school. Nationally few really know about Mora's ski passion. The narrative why Mora left is well know. Mountains.
After checking his bio I’m kind of surprised he wasn’t grabbed by a bigger program before now.

That would be a plus even though I am not a big fan of leaving the other team in the lurch. Coach Candle can recruit, we know that. I'm hopeful he can work the portal and I'd rather him find some established players from other programs, especially from the P4.Bring some players with you. You don’t just recruit a coach, you recruit a team.
Number 79 overall; UConn at 111

Rest easy @jostar1…Can't we get a tweet saying that he IS UConn's new coach, instead of "expected"?
Sorry - I am reposting my post from the other thread since that thread was just closed.
What a week. This is a great morning, let's freakin go UConn nation. Mora did amazing things for us, but he didn't quite have his heart in Huskyland. AD David Benedict probably grew tired of the ever increasing Mora maintenance and so he slow played the CSU counter and rolled the dice. But the dice AD David Benedict threw were loaded, he knew this time around we'd have options. Well played AD David Benedict.
