This is getting so ridiculous.
Charlotte did everything they could to enhance Kemba's standing in the league and Kemba has stated that himself. He was an All Star while at Charlotte. His knees went bad and that's not on the organization.
Charlotte took a defective character in Bouk - the kid had serious behavior issues since early high school days and through his stay in Storrs. Their issue with Bouk was that the Charlotte organization was sold a bag of crap from everyone surrounding Bouk from his HS, AAU and UConn connections. Shame on them for failing to complete their due diligence. Charlotte didn't ruin Bouk - Bouk ruined Bouk and those close to Bouk who pushed him on while ignoring the negative signals added to the dilemma. The kid will step onto a court again, but it will be legal and not basketball.
Lamb had some success at Charlotte, but he played behind a few veterans and couldn't replace them. He left to get more PT. He was never going to be a starter there and most likely it would have been the case with most all NBA teams - he was a tweener and good NBA back-up.
Charlotte has a new regime now so you all can stop this complete nonsense. Would it been better to end up in Detroit?

You really typed up paragraphs defending the Charlotte Hornets. cue that meme of Doc Rivers staring into space in disbelief

Charlotte was a wasteland of talent throughout Kemba's career. Bismack Biyombo ring any bells?

7/8 starters with NBA contracts/drafted in the last two years, who would have thought two years ago.

  • 3 first rounders (Castle, Clingan, Hawkins)
  • 3 second rounders (Jackson, Newton, Spencer)
  • 1 two-way (Sanogo)
  • Karaban

Here’s the updated history on UConn players who have been drafted.
Still hard to believe that the Lakers used a second round pick for the rights to Majok. With one playing year at UConn, he can claim that he was drafted with Kemba. Go figure.
