UConn and the 2018 AAC Baseball Tournament (Updated ~ Check Schedule Change for UConn games)

Trevor Holmes starting is a logical choice, we'll just see how he does. I don't think he has pitched in this tournament so far, so he has a fresh arm. A senior/graduate student, while he has never spent much time at the top of the bullpen, but he has seen time in pressure situations, and he has had a few successes. If he is on, he can certainly give UConn 2 or 3 innings. If he isn't on, it will be on to the next pitcher quickly.

Coach Penders might throw a freshmen pitcher such as Dunlop into a start while they are still in the winners bracket, but for the championship game, he goes with an experienced senior.

Wallace, Cate, Feole, Kersten, Gardner are not available to pitch today, according to Chris Jones. I might have missed someone as well.

The AAC version of Game Tracker doesn't seem to be working this morning. It figures.

Edit, I found it. and it works.

Is the game televised or online only? I’m at a bachelor party in the middle of the woods with no WiFi but direct tv coverage.

The AAC should have anticipated my situation!

Awesome double play to get Williams Sutton!!! I like seeing no one on for Brickhouse.

UConn two out rally with runners on 1st and 3rd doesn't pay off in the 2nd. No score.

Ugh. That strike 3 call looked low, but you gotta protect the plate with 2 strikes. UConn Strands runners in the corners.
0-0 going B2.

Strike zone looks a bit all over the place so far.

Commentator mentioned after last weeks season finale, UConn and ECU shared a flight down to FL, and are staying in the same hotel. Cool to see them matched up in the final.

My wife (avid baseball fan and gardener, she's listening to the game outside while planting veggies) just said that with all the unavailable Husky pitchers, it would be a miracle for UConn to win today. That may be, but what a story it would be if the Huskies do win.

In more than one interview, Penders has said that UConn and ECU are mirror images of each other when it comes to playing the game. It fits that they would share air flights and hotels as well.

No out rallies tend are productive than two out rallies. With two runner on board for UConn in the 3rd inning and no out, lets see how this shakes out.
