Wow, is there anyone that will actually see the field left from last year's team?
The way college football is going, we could be asking ourselves this question just about every year.

They started renovating Meade Stadium at 42MM cost. seating 5k on the side opposite of The Ryan Center. Possibly playing at the RIFC stadium this year. Some seating capacity upgrades but nowhere near what they had while in the old Yankee Conference. Should be nice though.Rhode Island is a great school. There's a rumor that they might join the FBS soon. Heard it on a YouTube channel about FCS moving to FBS. The person said that RI to the MAC.
This too -
Scholarship/Roster limit is now 105We have 27 scholarship players left on the squad. This does not include any of the players in the portal. We have 13 commitments from high school players so a total of 40 players for next year at this point. Need 45 players to get to the 85 scholarship limit.

I think it’s much more likely that this is just the new norm. A coach changes (or not) and, as McDonald said, they “want to test the waters and see what’s out there.” As much as it saddens me (as a fan) I gotta believe I’d do the same thing. The entire regime has changed and everything they were committed to (coaches, teammates, culture) is gone. The only thing that remains is the school name and that’s secondary to these kids unless UConn was their “dream school.”Hard to imagine that each kid has met with Candle. Almost feels as though a blanket statement went out to returnees indicating their spots would not be secure. Who knows? Wonder how much will come out about the “ Transition Story”?
