UConn 2026 Outbound Portal Transfers (*No transfer speculation until announced/posted*)

And Michigan State has gobs of fresh money to throw an absolute bag at him. If MS wants someone high probability that's where he ends up, unfortunately. Hopefully he shines when he gets there and UConn gets some publicity when he gets drafted. That's the best we can hope for these days. Also a good chance this happened even if Mora stayed.

Bell last year has given me optimism on some of these guys so I’ll just note a few things on Edwards (nevermind the obvious coaching change) that keep me hopeful

1. Much more defined role at UConn vs a P4 which would automatically increase competition. Exposure is a double-edged sword as being a depth piece can actually hurt even at a bigger school. Not like Bell had any exposure issues here, he might not have even gotten the nod as a Belitnikoff finalist at Michigan for example.

2. How much money is he commanding? And as a RB, are any of these school going to offer him significantly more than we would?

Pat Fitzgerald is an excellent coach with a well funded and very passionate fan base.
Edwards would be a good fit for the new MSU program

Yea but I very selfishly don’t want that, especially MSU

Is Cam the next Nate Carter for us? This one will hurt more seeing how he even said that he loved playing at UConn being a CT kid. We just can’t compete with that kind of money though.

I just looked up CSUs 2026 schedule and they only have 4 scheduled games so far, Wyoming, Southern Utah, BYU and at UTSA.

Not sure where to put this but @huskymedic would it be possible for you to make our portal commits a different color than our HS recruits on your inbound list? If it’s annoying for others nvm. I just like being able to see who’s a portal get vs a HS recruit and they all blend together

For now, the transfer portal kids are noted “Transfer Portal” in bold

You mean the PAC hasn’t published their 8 game schedule?
The newPAC schedule should come out later this month after the 23rd.
Pac-12 holding off on 2026 schedule, bowl plans until CFP format is set
The rebuilt Pac-12 plans to announce its 2026 schedule, bowl affiliations and format for the conference championship game “sometime after Jan. 23,” as the conference waits for the CFP to “establish a format for the 2026 season,” according to Jon Wilner of the San Jose MERCURY NEWS

While looking for the above info, I came upon an article about the portal. The contents are the usual spiel of what we've been lamenting, but I like the 3 points it makes at the end (not sure how enforceable they would be, but it's something):
The Death of Amateur College Athletics: How the Transfer Portal and Unregulated NIL Have Turned Campuses into Pro Free-Agency Chaos
Urgent reforms are vital:

• Limit transfers to one penalty-free; require one-year sit-out for more, curbing impulsive moves and tampering while restoring commitment.

• Mandate full public disclosure of NIL earnings/deals via centralized database to curb abuses.

• Cap earnings: if NIL exceeds twice scholarship value, forfeit scholarship for reallocation to an athlete in a non-revenue sport, preventing double-dipping and boosting equity.

points number two and three are dead in the water
and completely unenforceable based on the law
Point number one might have a slim chance of being upheld in a court but based on previous rulings not likely
