UConn 2026 Outbound Portal Transfers (*No transfer speculation until announced/posted*)

I would say with 500k we could get 5 quality linemen. I wouldn’t imagine we’re paying on average any more than 50-60k with both revenue sharing and NIL. A player might make more but not the whole lineup.

Curious, how do you know these amounts are accurate for UConn and how would it compare to P4 and other top G5 schools?

I don’t know squat lol. In my statement I said these two phrases, I would say and I wouldn’t imagine we’re paying anymore than, to paraphrase myself. This is just what I gather from reading and seeing what others have received. The P4 would be paying a considerable amount more but it would be competitive with G5 if you’re asking my opinion.

I mean, this is funny. He finished the year what, 6th on our depth chart? (Edwards, Brown, Rosa, Lindbergh Coleman and maybe T. Smith ahead of him?). If he is a good MAC player and can contribute more there, more power to him. This is exactly the situation in which players shouldn’t have to sit a year — they want to move down a level and play football. Not because you want to squeeze a little more money out of fans/supporters.

Just another guy trying to make an impactful buck:

You have to be careful with portal rankings right now as the portal entries from all teams is just getting started.

Toledo has no one in the portal right now. We have 17.
Yeah. Building a MAC team at UCONN is not something I want. Who cares how many portal kids they end up having. Maybe we swoop in for a few eventually but he better be setting his sights higher than Tuesday football talent

If the perceived character of Candle is true I could see him telling the team to finish out their commitment to Toledo and make their decisions after the bowl game, and if this turns out to be true then we really landed a diamond in the rough
We know he told the staff members coming with him to stay so the players don’t have a disruption

So, you going to tell Coach Candle to send the qb back?

Candle (and staff) have had a pretty good eye for higher end Sunday football talent - he’s put a few dozen players into the NFL (Drafted/UDFA) over the past decade @ Toledo. Looking like one or two more this coming draft including an AP First Team DB.

He gets the benefit of the doubt in talent evaluation in my book.

I didn't see this posted anywhere, unless I missed it. Nebraska has emerged as a strong candidate for Cam:

Nebraska Emerges as a Possible Landing Spot for UConn Star Running Back
Seems like it may be click bait to me. Talks about how he has a relationship with EJ Barthel and how Barthel was "instrumental" in guiding both Cam and the UConn ground game. But the only season Barthel was here with Cam was 2022, where he had 1 carry for 2 yards and redshirted. Think they're stretching the truth a bit here, but perhaps they do have a good relationship with one another.

Still, appreciate you sharing this. It's worth tracking.

We barely beat ball state and buffalo. What exactly did you see in us this year

Are you under impression that Toledo was less than UConn? I believe if the 2 teams played this year, the home team would have won.
