Now is where you show you have some cojones and blow G-Town off the field.

How do you not score after a lead off triple?
Worse than that — it was the #3 spot in the order with the triple, meaning it was the middle of the order that couldn’t get the ball in play for a win. It happens when you’re personnel just isn’t really good enough.

They will now have to bounce back almost immediately. I assume Coe is getting the ball. I would not like to recalculate our RPI if we go 0-2 in the tourney,

I don't understand why they didn't pinch hit at the end. But the bottom line is you can't leave a man at third with no outs.

And who would you use to pinch hit with? Studley is out sick and not available to play. And Malcom really runs hot and cold, and has been cold of late.

This reminds me of my days of playing over 30s baseball. Played the first one, usually in incredible heat, then took a break. Had a couple of beers and some lunch and came back and play the second one on a summer Sunday. Great fun. I really do miss those days. My team wore some nice pinstriped uniforms. This is me and my brother in law in Cooperstown.

Top 2nd, a 1 out homer off of Coe, game tied at 1. Another solo homer makes it 2-1 Georgetown with 2 outs.

The main problem with UConn losing the 1st game of the tourney and going extra innings in that game is the lack of quality reliable depth in UConn's pitching staff, makes it more difficult to go all the way in winning the Tourney. To win this Tourney UConn needs to take 4 straight games now.

We look a bit clueless at the plate right now.

Bottom 2nd, UConn offense with 2 strikeouts as they go down in order, 2-1 Georgetown.

Top 3rd, Coe retires the side in order. 2-1 Georgetown, Coe is at 41 pitches for this game. Not sure how many pitches he threw in the 1st game.

If you put it in play against Georgetown team, they are going to make some mistakes. That’s how we won the series there earlier this year.

Bottom 3rd, Simmons and Shpur leadoff the inning with singles. They both move into scoring position on a passed ball. A wild pitch brings in a run to tie the game at 2.

A no out walk by Tammaro puts runners at the corners. Broadhurst follows with a sac fly for the 1st out, 3-2 UConn.

With 2 out, Tammaro moves to 2B on a wild pitch, but is left on base. 3-2 UConn.
