Top of the order coming up, if we want to not stress on Monday this is the inning to make it happen

Top 9th, after a 1 out single and a stolen base, a 2 out RBI single ties the game at 9. After a stolen base, Afhim leaves the runner at 2B.
 
Bottom 9th, UConn offense goes down in order, game tied at 9 going to extra innings again.

Malcom pinched hit for Hyde, so he takes over at catcher.

UConn did not play any extra inning games this season before today according to Chris Jones.

Top 10th, Afthim gives up a leadoff walk, the runner moves to 2B on a sac bunt. A 1 out single puts runners at the corners. A sac fly brings in a run, 10-9 Georgetown. Afthim comes out of the game, Cinnella takes the mound, Georgetown has 3 lefty batters coming up in a row.

A ground out ends the top of the 10th. 10-9 Georgetown.
 
In fairness to Afthim, I feel like he was way underutilized this year to always be effective when he was called upon.
 
There’s still a chance to get the W, but such a frustrating game. Many missed opportunities this and last game …

I love this team but similar to the hockey team they were immensely frustrating this season. Hope we get a bid but not optimistic.
 
Bottom 10th, UConn offense has a scoreless inning after a 2 out hit by pitch. Georgetown wins 10-9, and UConn is out of the Big East Tourney. Well, we'll see on Monday if they get selected to the NCAA Tourney. It will be a long wait, and like Chris Jones I'm not overly optimistic about it at this point.

How good are the odds for an at large bid? Sorry, I listen to all the games when I can but I don’t follow college baseball in general.

Would love to see them get in, but if I'm being honest, they aren't really deserving of it. Too inconsistent and would be hard to imagine them competing against quality P4 teams.
 
Runner at 3rd no one out. Gotta score against X. But believe me, as disappointed as I am, love these guys. We all know what the shortcomings were this year and dwelling on them doesn’t help. Need to bring in some big bats and arms for next year and get back where we belong. Anyway, it ain’t over until we don’t get a bid.
