You watch UConn baseball long enough, and this happens with just about every closer UConn has when it comes to the last game in a postseason tournament weekend. They end up going a long way, and it is the Penders way. Penders is not going to put in someone on the mound in a situation like this who has not earned his trust. You just got to hope Wurster can ride it out.

I don't think UConn has the pitching depth to go through the losing bracket in a post season tournament. For one thing, you need a dependable fourth starter who can give you some innings, or more bullpen arms you can rely on.
