UConn has had a few runners caught off 3B in recent games on come backers to the mound. The runners are going on contact, but it is starting to happen way too often.

You know me, I rarely think stealing 3B is a good play. The percentages just aren't good. Potential gain doesn't justify the potential loss of a man at 2B.

Gardner hit by a line drive, he's likely to be coming out. Dandeneau has been warming up.

For what it’s worth, Chase walked off the field on his own power, was slightly moving his arm that got hit and had movement in his fingers

Dandeneau comes in to pitch with a runner on 2B and 1 out. Gets a strikeout on his first batter.

A walk and another strikeout from Dandeneau ends the 5th inning. 5-3 Wichita State. It's great to have Dandeneau back.
