Sad to see so many empty seats for such a good game

When there's a men's regional just before gametime featuring the local team (not to mention just 2.5 hours away), it makes it harder to sell tickets.

Tina Napier is the official who made the worst foul call in history on a similarly clean block at the end of the Nebraska-Michigan game, which ended up handing the game to Michigan. I've never seen such a bad game-deciding call.

And here she is in the Elite 8, and strikes again.

She absolutely loves the sound of her whistle.

Miss State seems to have solved UCLA's zone defense more successfully than UConn with Duke. Somewhat easier to do when you have Teaira McCowan.

Billings having a nightmare game so far, 1 of 9 on FG and only 2 rebounds. She looks tiny standing next to McCowan.

UCLA absolutely must get contributions from her and Burke to have any chance of not getting embarrassed in the second half.

When UConn's excellent play overwhelms a weaker team, the game is labeled boring by some casual fans, but as is often noted, the pleasure is in watching the team execute good basketball. Both the Louisville and Miss State games aren't boring to me because of their execution -- maybe not UConn in one of its superlative games -- but they are playing pretty good ball. Only bad basketball is boring.

Question; on these charge calls, do the feet have to be completely out of the arc or can portion of shoe be on line? The second charge call on UCLA, looked like part of the Miss St player foot was on arc.

Vic Schaefer in Morgan William's face for that airball. Maybe one more pass?

ESPN has clearly decided The Voice and America's Got Talent have the winning format in talking the game. Everybody has a story and you're going to hear it whether you want to or not.

UCLA trying to make a comeback at the end of 3Q, but Schaefer hits a big 3.

Let it be noted that when Jordin Canada went out of the game with a left wrist injury, almost the first thing she did when she returned to the game was dive for the floor and tangle with Morgan William. Now, later in the game, the arm is still giving her a lot of pain when she's at the free throw line. A real baller in this game.

I remember when the regional finals used to all be on the same day. Now that the Final 4 starts on a Friday, that 24 hours LVille and MSU get on the Monday winners is big. Louisville gets almost a day and a half head start. I can't remember when we have played on Day 1 of a regional final.

Miss State has a lot of players who know how to score; leading by 16 and Schaefer hasn't scored. A tip of the hat to the serene Homecoming Queen Victoria Vivians with her super smooth shot.

Schaefer may have broken ribs, judging by the gingerly way she's been gimping around. 'Course she could be doing a Jamie Carey.

I just want a competitive down to wire game! Keep fighting Women of Westwood!

I think Antonelli said "Onion ring" instead of Onyenweare
It's a lot to ask a commentator to not get a player's name confused with a popular side order.

Can't see UCLA getting this done but I'm glad it was a game anyway.

Pretty backdoor pass from Rashanda Johnson to Vivians for a critical score. But Dean cuts the Miss lead to 6.
