Huh? They drove down the field like a machine the first time they touched the ball. Until Nick took a bad sack and tripped over a hash mark
I’ll give you that, I agree. The first drive was strong, but then the wheels fell off for the rest of the half, which was what I was referring to

I am traveling. I checked the score and we were down going into the 4th. I logged just to check the final score just to get the misery out of the way. I really thought we were done. U-C-O-N-N
Ditto here, I'm 6 hours ahead, was at a dinner, took a strategic bathroom break to check the score when it was 23-10, the good guys 4th and goal on the 6 yard line. Had to get back to dinner and thought all hope was lost.

My response was to a post that said he only ever leads receivers in stride for YAC.

I pointed out that Bell had to dive back for that pass to save the drive.

It has nothing to do with anything else from the game.

So everyone can chill out
He put the ball right were it needed to be for 1. The defender not to have a shot at the ball and 2. So Bell wouldn’t go to the hospital. Move on. It was a good throw.

Just give the we haven’t beaten anyone a rest. We played 10 games. We won 7. We played the teams they put in front of us. FWIW Army played their first team with a winning record today. They are ranked in the top 25. It is about winning.
Army is my second favorite team, but they were a little lucky to beat a (now) 5-4 team. The Cadets got their starting QB back and played a great defensive game, holding high scoring North Texas to three points in a 14-3 win, their lowest scoring game of the season. But NTU managed only three points on four trips to the red zone - FG, turnover on downs and two INT's in the end zone. Like UConn they have next weekend off, and, like UConn, they have a tough test the following week - Notre Dame.

I don’t remember a down, with JF, where we ran it. Gave him the keys.

Don’t over think it Coach. Go with JF the rest of the way.
Is this Fagnano’s and Bell’s last year or can they return next season? If this is their last year then Mora def has to play JF. UConn’s offense (JF, offensive line, running backs who can catch it, Skylar Bell, Honig) can click on all cylinders if Mora plays his cards right. This all could be a moot point and an easy decision for Mora depending on how bad Evers injury is.

Last night I saw a character in this team that reflects “ a toughness “ that we all missed. Jim Mora has lead this team to a level toughness we haven’t seen in a while. I’m so happy for everyone. Go Huskies !!!

When this season started my key metric for success was can we field a team that plays better in the 2nd half - that shows grit - to not fold up, but play to win games.

We’ve got that team now.

We make mistakes… We come out slow.. We struggle… But we are a team to be reckoned with - so in that sense, I’m satisfied already with this season.

In the past the board has pointed out that our QB play was clearly worse that our opponents. That's been true since Pindel. Not last night. JF can really sling it. Opens up the run game and makes it fun to watch.

-> Alabama-Birmingham: The only question here is whether the Blazers' administration and fan base can round up the $4.1 million in buyout money necessary to end the Trent Dilfer experiment. Already viewed as a lost cause who is desperately in over his head as a college coach, Dilfer’s 31-23 loss to UConn is on a different level of absurdity. Leading 23-10 heading into the fourth quarter, UAB gave up three touchdowns in four possessions while its offense accounted for 42 yards on 21 plays and turned the ball over twice. UAB is now 2-7, and Dilfer’s record is 6-15 overall in two seasons. And it’s worth remembering that this wasn't a dumpster fire program when Dilfer took it over. In fact, the Blazers were 7-6 in 2022 under interim coach Bryant Vincent, who is now 5-4 at Louisiana-Monroe. But UAB athletics director Mark Ingram couldn't resist the lure of a big name former NFL quarterback, even though Dilfer had no college coaching experience. UAB will be paying the price for years. </

Last year for Fagnano, Bell has one more.

Fagnano, though limited athletically, is the best man to operate your offense. Evers is better athletically, but he’s subpar at QB. One read and leaves the pocket, throws a flat and low ball that forces receivers to adjust to the ball and limits RAC opportunities. Use him situationally or as a spark/change of pace option. That said nice win. I love seeing my second favorite team on the come up. Keep it rolling and crush the fruit.

Great come from behind win on the road. I have tried to steer away from the Fagnano-Evers debate like the plague as I try to call what I see and not stick to a narrative, but Fagnano has to start now. Evers will look good at times but then doesn't execute the basic plays and reads. To be fair he hasn't been helped out much with the wr drops, Bell had an even worse game then Evers.

Mora could make the qb change creatively, tells Evers, we still believe in you but we wanna get you healthy and right. It does help that Fagnano is a senior so much less qb controversy moving forward.

Let's keep this same energy for JF next week when we're down 35-3 in the 3rd, and he's got 2 picks but still playing his heart out trying to grind out a win that is unlikely to happen.
What happens against Syracuse will have everything to do with the shape our OL is in. We seem pretty banged up right now.

Yes, let's hope Jim can take advantage of the out he's been given. Beating Cuse would be huge and it won't happen with Nick.

Ya he couldn't even put weight on his foot, sit him at least for the Cuse game, maybe you play both in the Umass game, Mora can just go about it week by week.

Kitna is way better than Evers. It is quite evident. When Joe F entered? Not so much, if at all.
