Totally. I realize this is motivated reasoning, but I am not seeing why Jones wasn't selected for this team. Her ball handling and distributing from outside would have come in handy given how few ball handlers and trey shooters this team has. Like, I get that they need players from each year, but there's no universe where, say, Brink adds more to this team than Jones would have.

This team lacks speed and ball handlers as well. For their size they don't rebound well as they aren't instinctive and don't jump for rebounds. Tend to rely on their size and ball coming to them.

I don't see Boston as an All American at the next level, unless she significantly improves her game. I don't see many future All Americans on this team with the possible exception of Paige and Howard.

USA trails 64-63 with less then a minute to go. USA has two possessions where they could take the lead and didn't get good shots.

This team struggles so mightily against the zone. I don't know how much of that is on Walz and how much is on the players, but our passing is too slow to get openings outside, and they swallow our not-tall-enough interior players when they get the ball inside.

I forgot the USA U19 Team lost to the Russians in the last U19 World Championship.

We got a huge break when the Australian center hit Howard with an elbow.
We got 2 free throws (made 1) and the ball back to tie the game with 12 seconds left in regulation.

Basically lost 2 v. 5 This is our best chance to win. I don’t think Hailey Van Lith, Clark, Bueckers, and Brink are eligible for the next one.

Paige is 1- 8 on three point shooting. I believe at one time she was 7-8 shooting and is now 8-21 for the game.
