U17 and U18 recruiting target observations

^^ For those wondering, that's Christyn Williams responding to a tweet about her choice of schools and Lexi Gordon with the dog and fingers-crossed emjois.

USA today #1 HS team in the East - St.Johns /DC beats #1 in the South - Paul VI 68-52

Paul VI has 5 D1 starters ( Collins- 2018 TN, Vaughn -ND 2017, Scott- Grayson top 11- 2018 etc. ) needless to say the highly rated recruits did not play up to their hype. In fact Scott- Grayson was benched for poor play.

St Johns might have the best unsigned girl in the country ---- probably had close to 25 - including some long 3s

Sheppard is not 5-10. . . but plays big

St. Johns is very good, but I'm a little surprised they won. Their alums include Marissa Coleman of Maryland and the Indiana Fever.

Honesty's name is Scott-Grayson. Honestly. ;)

Honestly I corrected Honesty's name before I saw your message.

St John's does not have a Marisa Coleman type. They have 10 girls that play defense. And they outrebounded the much taller PVI team.

That man is hilarious, people think he is so uptight. He is definitely the opposite. He is very approachable and goofy

Here we go again UConn just keeps on turning down all of this talent to help out all of the little people because we all know that UConn gets everybody they want!!!!!!

WBB: Shakira Austin, 6-5 C, Colonial Forge HS (VA), just announced her commitment to Maryland; espnW #5 in 2018

Potentially devastating news:

The Lady Bulldoggs held on despite junior forward Olivia Nelson-Ododa, rated by ESPN as the No. 1 overall player in the Class of 2018, exiting the game late with an apparent knee injury.

....

But less than two minutes into the final period, Nelson-Ododa (16 points, 12 rebounds) fell to the court clutching her right knee and crying out in pain after contesting a rebound.

She later limped back to the bench under her own power, and Hill-Gilmore helped her walk to the opposing locker room following the game.

...

Lady Bulldoggs coach Brandon Thomas said team trainers told him Nelson-Ododa possibly suffered a knee sprain but that her ACL “looked firm.”

Gainesville girls fall short against Winder-Barrow despite Taylor Hawks' huge senior night

Another current St. John's College Prep alum currently in WCBB is one Lindsay Allen of Notre Dame. Found her Hoopgurlz profile from when she was still in HS:

Thanks. I knew that Lindsay lived in Mitchellville, MD and thought that she played in or near Annapolis. I didn't realize that she trekked all the way into D.C. to play for THAT St. John's.
