Typical Hurley smh

What’s funny to me about Hurley is that he goes on a Barstool podcast and says “I don’t give a shot what anybody thinks of me.”

Proceeds to get 2 techs in the last 2 games, tries to fight a UConn fan, kind of gets into it with Shaka last game.

The guy is all talk.

Tried to fight a uconn fan? What are you talking about

On drives, Xavier is much better are drawing contact to get a foul. UConn seems to try to avoid contact.

On the steal on their inbounds, RJ had Andre for a dunk and instead made a cute pass for a turnover.

It was really over right then.
This was a huge play. Andre was out ahead of everyone. Would’ve cut the lead to 2 and given us all the momentum.

Anytime a team hits the go ahead prayer at half is gonna win the game…can’t remember the last time UConn won when that happened

Three things bothered me:
1) Defensively, Xavier did what any team with an ounce of common sense should- sag off of Whaley and AJ and effectively take Sanogo out of the game. So why wait until the last three minutes of the game to put Hawkins back in and force them to defend the perimeter?
2) I can understand Nunge and Freemantle being a problem for Adama and Whalley on the perimeter, but why were they continuously wide open under the basket?
3) Scruggs was making AJ look silly on defense for a good stretch of that second half.

We get the turnover, Martin had sanogo raise his arm for the lob pass and he selfishly tried to lay it up amongst two defenders , which led to a frustrated Jackson getting a tech … just make the right basketball play which this team doesn’t do well

It was a bad T despite knowing it was a tough call can’t happen. The bad decisions by the players hurt more than anything. RJ missed a wide open AJ for an easy deuce which would have cut it to 2 and had them reeling. Same on Martins attempt to finish which was weak.

Just a bad loss for many reasons they don’t look prepared at all when in close games.

We looked prepared against Marquette. This is college basketball this year. We’re just inconsistent.

Do you not remember Calhoun purposely getting T’s to fire up his team? Your coach having your back like that goes a lot further than giving up those two points.

It’s like people forget what they complain about is what they used to love…
Getting a technical under four minutes to go in a game you’re losing by a few points is incredibly dumb. Calhoun didn’t do that. Hurleys antics kill them late in games, the team feeds off his energy. If the head coach isn’t focused, the team follows suit. It was a tough spot for them to win the game regardless, but I’m pissed about what happened there.

Rj has been bad passing and decision making on the break since he’s been here.

How about Whaley recovering a loose ball and turning it over trying to bring it up court, resulting in a Nunge 3? Just collect the ball and get it to a guard Whaley!

The players make poor decisions over and over again at crucial moments. Can’t blame Hurley, we should have won this game pretty easily. Lots of people here blame the coaching which can use some adjustments, but almost all of the losses can be attributed mostly to poor decisions.
