Not interested in recruiting anyone who has shot less than 33% from deep at their original school. We have too many non-shooters already. Ideally, I'd like to see guys pushing 40%, but I don't want to get greedy.

While I agree with your focus, Terrance Shannon Jr. would be a perfect fit for this team.

6'6 210 with two more years of eligibility. 10.4p, 2.6r, 2a, 2 TO, 50.9 2p%, 38.4 3p%, 78.4 ft% in 2.8 attempts/game. About 40% of shots from deep in 25 mpg.

He's not a point guard, but he's got good passing numbers for a wing. His offensive profile would allow for some PG-less lineups with Jackson/Hawkins/Shannon at the 1-3.

However, I think it's moot. He's got NBA potential and my guess is he wants a high major spot where he can increase his career 25 mpg and play in a more offensive system to better showcase what he can do in the NBA. Not sure if he'd get more than 25 mpg at UConn.

If I had a guess, he'd replace Kellen Grady as the 3 at Kentucky.

I’m struggling how to see how he wouldn’t get 25+ minutes. He’d be the best offensive player on the team right away besides maybe Sanogo. Jackson is so versatile that they can always play together too.

He absolutely would. I’m not even sure a lineup with Jackson and Shannon at the forwards even counts as small anymore. They’re pretty buff dudes.

Shannon is a really good shooter shot like 38% last year from deep. Also fits our brand of toughness. He’s a good fit.

The small lineup thing is overblown. Villanova is running out a lineup of 6'3", 6'4", 6'6", 6'6", and 6'8" for nearly 100% of their minutes. It doesn't effect them on defense or offense at all.

And Dixon isn’t 6’8 he’s more like 6’6

I want a lineup like nova let’s have 4 guys that can dribble and penetrate! It’s not 1991 - that’s part of what got Cox fired at URI - running offense through two centers! They finished near bottom of ncaas in FT shooting despite having a couple guards that were good FT shooters.

Why is there another thread?
wheres the other transfer tracker thread? ive only seen one-offs specific to a player and we're going to wind up with 500+ threads about each and every transfer at that rate
