Wow, kid visiting Illinois campus tomorrow, possibly means AK going pro if Hurley reaching out.
You'd have to think the staff has a sense of where the lean is, yes. Tea leaves certainly pointing.

If Hopkins can stay healthy he makes a formidable addition to HOF coach Pitino's team. Not looking forward to playing them. Hopkins is a true gamer and leader. He'll make a good combination with him on the floor and Pitino on the sidelines. We can expect all out rock fights with them.

Always looking forward to playing anyone because real UConn Huskies don't fret or back down - especially when one can beat up on a creep like Pitino

Not the first time there has been UConn interest in Andrej. Some casual dialogues pre-Cal decision

Wise to keep a dialogue and relationship going…no one knows what the future holds

Yes, UConn offered him. But we didn't make his final 6. Maybe he's finally ready to leave the Bay Area?

Yes, the top programs are more likely to push guys out than before, but there was still scholarship yanking, forced sit out transfers, and guys not retained in the sport before. But I'm sure it does happen more often now, in part because it's not as bad if they transfer to a "worse ranked" program or down a level since they can play right away.

The market is just more efficient. If you can't play, you go down. Some come back up, and some rise up in general.

Can someone talk me into Stojakovic? He seems like a bigger Mullins and we’d still need a backup 4/5
Because he's really, really good, has a great basketball IQ, and would fit in perfectly in Hurley's system. But yeah taking him would lead to some others currently on the roster not being very happy.

Seems like he was a freshman at Marquette like 6 or 7 years ago. Would certainly fit what UConn is looking for but tough to put your eggs in that basket when he needs a waiver. What exactly is his reason for asking for a waiver?

Seeking a Medical Waiver for the shortened NC season per the article but sounds like he would stay at Minnesota to be near family.
