Transfer Portal Starting to Load

Off the board to Michigan. I'm curious how these kids commit within a few days. When they were in high school they took months or even years to decide on a school and now when they transfer it's done within days.

Gotta secure the bag before someone else takes it.

I love Cadeau’s style but he didn’t work well at UNC. I think he can be a good pure PG in a good system, but I’m ok if it’s Michigan and not us.

Absolutely. You can win a lot with smaller guards, just need to surround them with the right roster. I mean, Pettiford is playing well, Cryer. Everyone wants to point to Sears against Duke but they are a juggernaut. I’d take Sears in a heartbeat. So many others… Zeigler, Bradon Smith, Pudella, list goes on & on.

Our reality is that we have a SG who is 6'3" and needs to improve his handle and ability to break down defenders. I just can't see us going with a PG who is smaller than Solo.

Don’t know much about him. I watched a couple games during the season and then 2 in the tournament, he took a bunch of bad shots but is evidently an efficient scorer so idk.

Nate Ament continues to hold out, and just today said he has no timeline. It's April!!

I'd have to think the agents are working the lines fast and furious trying to land the best deal/situation. There is a timeline, so you don't want to wait so long that you lose opportunities in the window.

Heck yeah If he’d play as a stretch 4 but hasn’t he said he wants to be a wing? Mullins and Furphy will be competing for minutes at SF as is.

I'm saying we've won before with short point guards and people are dismissive of that.

Kemba and Bazz were both electric talents their freshman year. You could see the path to progression. They had their flaws early on, but they were fixable.

I haven't watched Cadeau a lot, but I don't see that "it" factor to become a top PG.

I mean, Mark Sears was one of the best PGs this year and he is 6'1".

The difference is Danny's preference, not that short PGs aren't viable for high level D1 play in 2025.

With that said, I don't think Cadeau has the skills to be a top-tier PG. I just don't see it.

Rumblings that Demary will be a bidding war. Which tbh I’m fine with because I’d prefer a more pass first PG for the roster.

We have a lot of scorers and not enough playmakers. Need someone to feed all of them.
