You got to see what happens when you try to play man to man againest UConn. You got to see Stef with single converage. You got to see Stef one on one. You got to see UConn with a size advantage. I hope Kiah and Stef play alot together againest ND. I want to see ND out of the middle and when they try to go down the middle with Kiah and Stef there get their shots blocked. WIth Kiah and Stef underneath it like having Griner in the middle. It forces opponets to shoot from the outside and I will give that to any team including ND. If ND cant get inside easily they will struggle againest UConn. JMO folks. Geno Kiah and Stef need to play alot together againest ND. Force ND to have to make outside shots. Keep them out of the middle

Now there's an interesting point: Kiah and Stef together. I'd like to see that, too. It might cause some upset to Ms Peters, who, as we know, can be upset at times.

Geno played Stef and Kiah for long stretches tonite and i can see why Kiah has been earning so much PT lately. clearly she didnt' have Stef's scoring prowess, but she was a beast on defense and disruptive to what SJU was trying to do defensively while we were running offense. it was great to see.

Has anyone noticed what great hands Kiah has. That one offensive grab last night blew my mind. She is very sure handed.

I think Geno's eligibility is used up and I'm not sure he is willing to go through the surgery.
Not to mention getting a few fouls on DP. Use Buck to for that purpose.

I would like to see UConn pack it in tonite forcing ND to shoot from the outside. ND shot 38% againest UConn in their last meeting. Keys Stay out of foul trouble especially early rebound and allow Caroline and Tiff to bring the ball up which imo will result in less turnovers. This is gonna be a great great game.

For those of you that might not remember her father, who played for Iowa, under Lute Olson, in the 80's. Her game is very similar to her dad's.

Mallory was 2-3 last nice on 3's.
Novosel was 4-4 last night on 3's.

They don't want to pack the paint if it leaves them open for 3's.

was thinking the same. ND has multiple scoring options from all parts of the floor. It will be our defense that will be the story tonight. If we play ruthless, hard defense, we will certainly disrupt ND. the most important thing is that we play confidently and not get down if one or two things go wrong.

If Buck is in the game before the last few minutes, then either we have lot's of foul trouble or injuries to Dolson/Stokes. Either way, not good.

How about that bullet pass she got late in the game...that she grabbed...that one blew my mind...it was both reactionary and sure handed.

The next two years with Dolson and Stokes in the post along with Stewart has to send shivers up opposing coaches minds.

I wish it wwere that simple Tony. Not to mention good outside shooters like seniors Novasel and Mallory last time even McBride killed us from the outside with several key baskets.

Also will depend on how the game is called, last nights game with STJ's had very little questionable calls compared to the ND vs WV or our last game against ND. If they let them play our defense will carry the day but if they slap us with cheap questionable fouls could be rough. Not only is the BE chanpionship on the line but win #800 for Geno as well should add more intense to carry the day.

Yea, maybe, but if she comes in for a few minutes and gets physical with Peter's she could maybe draw a couple of fouls.

Not a chance. You need an offensive game to draw fouls.

Dolson and Stokes can do it.

It seems to me that if we play both Stef and Kiah then we should be able to have Kiah cover Peter's when she is at the high post and Stef defend against drives down the middle. (Peter's was really hitting her foul line extended shots last night.)

Peace,

Kiah is a tremendous man2man defender...literally a shut-down defender! :) She intimidates everyone she guards because she's so long, has superb anticipation and moves her feet laterally (staying perfectly square) as well as any big I think I've ever seen. She rarely buys into head, shoulder or step-thru fakes because she's so confident in her cat like reaction time and closing speed to keep her in position to defend her man's counter-move.

I've noticed that Diggins benefits from more phantom fouls than any other player. Figuring that I'm just biased, I've reviewed several plays in slo-mo where she's gone to the foul line and couldn't really see a foul. What is it that she does that makes officials think she has been fouled when she isn't?

She's the popular girl. ;) All kidding aside, I still don't understand how she gets away with continually using her extended forearm to shield/fend off defenders?
