Give the kid a break. Kid is only a sophomore and missed half the season last year. He's been huge this year in many games. He made a few mistakes tonight, but he will grow and learn from it. He's played his ass off all year and he will be huge next season. Made a nice play at the end of regulation to Omar and made a big bucket down the stretch. Focus more on our heart and toughness against the number 7 team in the country.

This one is also on Georgetown's ridiculous three-point shooting in the second half. They were 8-for-9 at one point. If they shoot even a better-than-average percentage we don't need the huge comeback.

twice at the end of each OT, we had a guy open underneath. Boat missed them each time.

It's posts like this that keep me on the football board. I'd have killed myself if I had to read posts like this all year.

We all feel the pain of losses like this, but none more then a tougher bunch of kids/men I've ever seen play for UConn.

These guys win together and lose together. They aren't pointing fingers, why are you? It's been a special year for people who can see the forest through the trees.

If I owned a company I'd hire any one of these guys to run the department of their choice.

You, not so much.

Hey Sportsart .. go back and watch the tape where Daniels is pleading for the ball at the end of the first OT. Watch how he and Boat are exchanging "pleasantries" in the huddle after that. Daniels was pissed for not getting the ball! So "They're aren't pointing fingers" is not correct.

BTW I wouldn't work for a jackass like you anyway!

You need to step back from your HFD like emotion and breath. It's a team game, win or lose it's about team.

Let's blame Calhoun then. His bad hand and all, he's 1 for 6 at one point yet he continues to shoot. He's so selfish. If he had passed the ball instead of missing shots we win this game. One more basket sparky. That's all we needed.

I'm not sure you are smart enough to get my point. You aren't worthy of another response so please have the last word.

The difference in this game was the TERRIBLE FLAGRANT foul called against Giffey. I knew as soon as the announcers said it looked clean to them that we'd get called. The pinheads in striped shirts came through again.

No you are way too smart for me. I am speechless at your responses. It must be tough to see the game wearing those "pollyana" glasses.

I am done with you.

Next year Boat makes better plays and we win this game. Props to Phil, Tyler and Deandre: they each showed me something tonight that makes me look forward to next season.

RT @aboogieee: I love how everyone here would have had the composure to make the play that they are saying that Boatright didn't make in a frantic situation..

It's not that hard to see his lack of basketball iq it's been atleast 5 games since There's been any smart plays out of him trying doesn't count when you have his skills it has been a joke of late
How does one achieve ignorance of this level? I need to know.
We have a coach which should be coach of the year.
We are so short handed it is sick.
A team with only three legitimate starters in the Big East.
Winning games that are hard fought and not supposed to be won by us.
Nobody but nobody gave Uconn a chance at 500 this year.

With Boat you have to take the bad with the good at this stage. For all of the highlight stuff he turns it over and he is not big or strong enough to drive it into a crowd and get his own shot. His mentality is score first which I get, but he has to improve the dish in those situations.

Yet his assist numbers get him into the league leaders and almost identical with Napiers. Not to mention that anyone claiming Boat to be a ball hog and getting all the minutes he gets - well, that anyone would have to say KO is way out of his depth coaching. And that would be a really foolish thing to say....

Boatright has to learn that the Boat Show has its place. Dribble, dribble, dribble, dribble ad nauseam drives me crazy as it is and does not win games.

He should be made to watch the Women's team and learn the importance of good passing. Arguably, he lost the game---a game in which this team battled valiantly, never gave up and most of these guys deserved to win.

I hate to jump all over this kid, but he will be a much better player when he learns to play team basketball and sacrifice the glory for the win.

The problem you have here is if he played in the "womens game" people would be wide open and he would know that going in but this is the men's game and they actually are capable of guarding people........please don't compare the 2 it's ridiculous!!!!

If you are going to blame Boatright for something, blame his various defensive lapses throughout the game. I'd love to see all of these Boneyarders be put into a 5'10 body and try to make this "obvious open pass" while being triple teamed by three guys at least 6'4 in height but yet still get two clean shots off at the end of both OTs with the last one being off by a couple of inches.

You can't put all the blame on boat . but the way we struggled on offense when Napier went out shows ryan is currently a 2 guard. He also carrys the ball alot, something jtiii was all over.

Boat will Improve, he is learning from one of the best pgs in college ball right now. By the time he's a senior he will be a great player. And honestly who doesn't love themselves some Boatright?

By the time he's a senior? yeah good luck with that. further, I applaud all the heart he played with, but Napiers decision making would indicate him not being ready for a jump. not even mentioning the defense, I would have lived with a Daniels fade away instead of Napier trying to beat 2 men off the bounce with a foot injury ( which led to the game clinching run out by gtown).
