These are the AG facts!

Actually, the only time I've inferred GA thus far are when posters like to remind me how many championships he has won. BI think that is incredibly stupid and silly. But I never called or inferred anybody was a GA homer!
If they gave awards for unintentional irony, this would be hall of fame worthy.

But yet I hear GA has said that you can play well even without shooting well,. Anyway, I agree partly and I do know that AG hasn't been able to show that she can shoot (very small sample size) although GA has said she shows it in practice.

CW has increased her shooting % a bit but 33% is still not good, especially since her shoots are mostly wide open and her game is all about and little about anything else, her increase in defense lately not withstanding. She has been a poor/streaky shooter for 3 years now.

I know GA is riding with CW and have said as much many times., based on his hope that she puts it together and I think he is worried about her loosing confidence as well which is probably why he didn't bench her earlier in the year when he defense was horrendous.

Telling and inferring an interpretation are two different things. People ask the question because they want an direct answer not a question to a question.

I never called any of you 'homers' so it would be good if you just stick to what I said and not exaggerate any. In fact, you should retract that statement. I certainly never criticised posters for agreeing with GA on this one particular issue. So this is a complete misleading and false statement.

I know it can be hard to to not exaggerate because it is natural for all to hide behind a keyboard and try to be more clever than the rest and put them in their place. My favourite is when posters take one sentence out of many and take it out of context and then throw it back at me. Not sure if you have done that...

Then there was this amazing 'magic' that happened on this board surrounding NM. Posters were really criticising the hell out of her and saying she was slow, can't defend, no better than Molly Bent, etc. before being a starter when I kept saying repeatedly she was much better than that. They were also saying if she was any good, GA would play her more. Hmmmm....I remember one poster, when somebody asked about her lack of playing time, the response was that GA wants to win and then so many people liked that response...silly. Then GA makes her a starter and the whole boneyard now recognises her game and loves her. This is the only other time I inferred GA since I disagreed with posters and her lack of playing time.
Yes CW has been a streaky shooter for 3 yrs. but she averaged 17.4 points a game in the big dance 2 yrs ago including 19 against ND in the final 4..so Geno knows how important she is

it sounds to me like AG is beginning to show the coaches what they want to see in practice more consistently but has not yet transferred it into game play. If that is true I think it is very encouraging. I believe everyone sees the incredible potential in Aubrey’s game if she develops those areas of her game that are currently keeping her on the bench. I still think we will see just how awesome she can be at some point. I just hope the light comes on sooner rather than later. I can’t resist asking though, who you would bet on in a game of horse between CW and AG?

If AG could shoot..dribble or pass the ball in offensive sets she would get more playing time..with her limited basketball skills i think getting 18 mins or so on the #1 team in the nation is about right
Yes, Geno is a great coach because he knows how to get the most out of his players. I like AG’s energy as much as the next person but I also know her limitations, especially when compared to what her teammates bring to the game, so I think she is being used correctly, a tremendous short burst off the bench. We think 6th off the bench as being a single player but great teams have several players who fit that category. UConn is such a team. Appreciate AG for what she does. I certainly do.

That was a long time ago. Is it not prudent to also think that she may not perform to that level since she hasn't shown it in two years?

She is important no doubt. If she can play defense as well as she did against Marquette, then it isn't as imperative that she shoot really well but the cold spells when she misses shot after shot is a worry. When we shot well, including CW(I think she had 9 pts in the first quarter in the first quarter against Marquette, we scored 29 but then CW ) went cold the rest of the game and some of her teammates cooled off as well, so we only scored 44 the rest of the way.

Hopefully, CW can keep playing defense like she did against Marquette and avoid the cold spell she had for 3 quarters of the championship game.

I'm taking AG in a game of one on one.
