Win 13 in a row - lose 6 out of 8. That's this year's edition of the Yankees.
No telling what's next.
'Real good teams don’t lose 4 in a row '
fail.
and the funniest part of that brilliant observation, is exactly against who, and when, they did it. spooky.

Go ask Cashman about Heaney. Also ask him why he signed Sanchez to another deal.I’ve been trying to stay positive but watching Voit do his best Stone Cold Steve Austin impression into the dugout camera after hitting a solo HR in the 9th inning of a game where his team is about to get swept in the midst of a 6 game losing streak is pretty aggravating.
Maybe there are analytics to back it up but why on earth is Heaney still on the roster?
At least I have Dak and Amari Cooper on my fantasy football team so that kept my spirits high last night.

I have stated all season its time for Cashman to go.
I heard earlier this year that he has only grounded into 6 double plays in his career. I guess that's what you get when you are a true 3 outcome player....On last night's ESPN broadcast, they mentioned a statistic that Joey Gallo only has two sacrifice flies in his career. Is this possible? He's not a rookie. I would think he would have more than that by accident.
Boston and TB are away series and I think both teams are playing better on average than the Yankees. I hate to say it but I think the Yankees are sitting out the wildcard.Looks like it all comes down to the final nine games of the season. Three with Boston, three with Toronto and three with Tampa. The Yankees do seem to play better against the better teams, but I wish I had more confidence going into these final weeks. Their continued inability to move runners over and score guys from third with less than two outs does not portend well for what are basically playoff games the rest of the way. Should be fun though.
I've really like Torres' approach lately. If he's OK being just a 15 HR/year guy, he can become a really good situational hitter.Good win last night. Contributions from the whole lineup and Cole pitched well enough. Eovaldi has given the Yanks a ton of trouble since he's been in Boston, so it was nice to see them get to him early. Nice to see Gleyber Torres come up with some big hits, though I'm not ready to declare him back to All-star form just yet. Next up is Nasty Nestor.
So do they drop their yellow uni's now?Red Sox have blown their load - I expect a mediocre finish for them.
They’ll drop them for tonight FOR SURE.So do they drop their yellow uni's now?
I hope so, thought I was watching the Oakland A’s from 30 years ago.So do they drop their yellow uni's now?
Or just call themselves the Yellow (stinky) SoxI hope so, thought I was watching the Oakland A’s from 30 years ago.
Stanton is living in the Red Sox's head right now. Last night's game was just crazy with the good and bad plays. Sox still have a leg-up on the Yanks facing the Nat's and O's to close out their season while the Yanks have the Jays and Rays. Can't remember a player that could go from game-to-game, sometimes at-bat to at-bat, that can go from looking like a Hall of Famer to guy who never swung a bat before than Giancarlo Stanton. Lucky for the Yanks he's picked the right time to show why he's an MVP-quality player. Great sweep of the Sox, but the Jays & Rays still stand in the way.
Also, what happened to Adam Ottavino? He was lights out when he first got to the Yankees, especially against right handers. He had that same frisbee curve that Jeff Nelson used to throw. Must be a confidence thing.
