if Espn made so much money they would put the ntl title on ABC, a channel where everyone can access. They obviously don't think it's worth it.

Men's Final Four this year is being broadcast on TBS, so not everyone will have access to the men's championship game this year.

that's a contract they made that paid out big money, they have a deal where they alternate the ntl title and selection sunday. Name me the last time they put the ntl title on Abc for the women? Or any local channel?

Disagree. What if SC would have finished 7-9 for some reason in the SEC? That would be ridiculous to say SC should not make the tournament after evaluating what they did in the nonconference. Conference play is only part of the equation.
LOL SC could've lost its entire starting 5 to injury and still win at least 8 games in the SEC.

Geno should make the final decision whether Paige should play or not. He should first consult with her parents, the doctors, the assistant coaches, and Paige herself.
Kinda.

Starting with "the doctors": they say no it's no. Period. That's not a consult it's an absolute. They say yes, or more likely "yes, but ..", (combination of professionalism, concern and CYA), proceed to next step.

"Parents" obviously can come forward one way or the other, but only if they choose to intervene. They won't (with Paige directly perhaps, but not with Geno). But, like the doctors, parents say no to Geno and it's no. Otherwise, proceed to next step.

"Assistant coaches" and other staff, sure, Geno should always hear them. "Listen to them" is his choice. "Agree" is his choice. Not really a step one way or another, so no matter what they say proceed to next step.

Paige says no, or she's uncertain, or yes but Geno doesn't believe her, it's no. Period. Paige says yes, proceed to next step.

Here you have it absolutely right: get to this step and it's Geno alone. One of the reasons he deserves every dollar he is paid and a lot more. I personally wouldn't take the job for twice the money. God bless him.

CBS broadcast the national championship game through 1995, then ESPN got the rights to the women's tournament.

ABC broadcast 2 first round games and 4 sweet 16 games last year, including the UConn sweet 16 game.

This article doesn't state it directly, but it sounds like ABC will show some games during the tournament this year.

And Sorry Baylor is not Baylor from last year….and without Kim Mulkey more so.
UCONN will be UCONN come March….
Again “never underestimate the heart of a CHAMPION”
Your predictions of how the Bridgeport will go are just that predictions….I expect tradition of UCONN and Geno and CD to show….it is already starting to show….and with Paige….and she will eventually return….rest assured people in their Region are understanding that the real UCONN is back!!!!

A few upsets last night as we come down the final stretch of conference games.

UCLA (12-11, 7-8) beats #12 Arizona (#2 seed in G'boro)
Vandy (13-16, 4-11) beats #15 Florida (#6 seed)
Florida State (on bubble, 15-12, 9-8) beats #22 GA Tech (#6 seed)

Joe Lunardi tweets throughout the night about how game results impact seeding and the bubbles, and almost daily posts a graphic of the Top 16 seeds in order and the bubble team summary on the men’s side. Creme just does his two weekly updates with very little in between. Wish we were getting a bit more detail at this time of year.

Unfortunately not enough demand for it.
And then you’ve got all the conspiracy loons who think Creme is already too detailed.

I mean, how much tweeting is really needed? If you go to Creme's twitter he does post some stuff, plus he seems to be on every halftime studio show talking about the latest seed scenarios.

I give both him and Lunardi a lot of credit for entertaining the obsessive and often insulting fans barraging them with questions, complaints and accusations.

Bracketology updated - Texas up, Arizona down, 4 region moves, including UConn shifting to #3 in Greensboro.

I don't know the love of many teams Is not NET rankings a key point in the seedings? UConn now #5NET.

The big east down to 2.

The NET also has North Carolina at #6 and BYU at #8. Does that mean they should be 2 seeds?

Folks ought to quit obsessing over the NET ranking because it doesn't determine seedings.

I'm convinced a lot of what Creme does is to spur conversation. Moving UCONN to Greensboro makes no sense!

The NCAA needs UCONN in the Bridgeport region. That's where UCONN will be, regardless of what seed the Huskies end up getting.

I agree.. what's more do you think the committee wants SC and Uconn in the same region I think not

I agree about Creme. It would be an absolute travesty if UConn is in the Greensboro Regional with SC and I assure you no one from SC OR UConn wants that to happen. I can see them putting them ANYWHERE else but I would be stunned if they end up in the same bracket at SC - although I have seen some stunners over the years....

If I'm looking at it correctly, I see UConn being seen as the worst of the 3 seeds. I know I'm a UConn fan, but I really don't see that as being appropriate.

From the ESPN WCBB Bracketology page...

I can't repeat on here what I said out loud when I saw this!

I also believe that UConn will end up in Bridgeport, but I think the current Greensboro seeding does make sense. If you follow an S-curve seeding process, SC is clearly the overall #1 seed. The overall #1 seed typically is paired in the same bracket with the worst #2 seed (Iowa St) and the best #3 seed (UConn).

There are still many games to be played prior to the Big Dance. I expect UConn to win out. I also expect some of the teams currently ahead of UConn to lose games in the coming week or so. That all should move UConn to a #2 seed and a likely spot in the Bridgeport Region.

We are the best of the three seeds, if he is using the s curve.

Yes...but WCBB doesn't follow a true S-curve for its national championship tournament; it did last year, because the entire tournament was held in San Antonio, due to COVID.

WCBB is still tied, in many ways, to a geographical curve for its national championship tournament. South Carolina, as the top seed, gets put at the regional site that is closest to them, as a reward for a fantastic season. UCONN will be in Bridgeport for proximity. NC State will likely be in Bridgeport as well, as the projected #3 overall seed and Bridgeport is the closest regional site to Raleigh outside of Greensboro, where South Carolina will be.

I understand that the Big Dance doesn’t usually follow a true S-curve. It’s more of a guiding principle. But it’s my understanding that in order for UConn to truly assure themselves a spot in the Bridgeport Region, the Huskies need to be a #1 or #2 seed. If UConn takes care of business this weekend and next, that should happen.

AND... can't believe the Committee wants to see a So Carolina vs UCONN match up in the Regionals... but rather at the Final 4...assuming of course that they both get there.
