The Official 2025 New York Yankees Thread

Looks like the Yanks need me again, this is a horrible lineup can’t hit good pitching

(worst thing is it’s so true):(

Rest in Peace former Yankee, Octavio Dotel. Died in a tragic roof collapse at a night club somewhere in the Dominican Republic.
He could be in a lot of team threads. Played for 13 MLB franchises in his career. Pitched a whole 10 innings for the Yankees.....

And now we sign the best closer in baseball who can’t get anyone out:confused:

Andy Pettitte is going to be the pitching coach for the United States in the next WBC!

Getting blasted by the Giants at home and Stroman doesn't even get out of the first inning. Truthfully this is closer to the real Yankees.

This is crazy. Guy does a sailors dive onto the field...

Funny I was just reading about the logjam in the OF and what will happen once Stanton returns to be the everyday Dan Hurley.

Just got an alert that Stanton was moved to the 60 day DL with not timetable to return. I hope the Yanks took out insurance on him.

Edit: Apparently D.H. turns into Dan Hurley. lol. But I meant designated hitter.

Even if Stanton comes back I'd stick with Rice as he's more dependable!
I've never been a Stanton fan!

Our old friend Joey G trying to make a comeback as a pitcher. He always seemed like a good dude but proof that some players are simply not cut out for the pinstripes.

Monday night **** show. Jeez.

Not a night to be a Yankees and Celtics fan.

Devin Williams = Sonny Grey.
At least I think it's a Bronx-only thing and he'll be successful elsewhere. That'll allow the Yankees to trade him in a "baseball move" to another contender as the Yankees build their own playoff roster.

Also, it's not like the offer to acquire Williams was much too: Nestor and Durbin.

The Yanks will probably make the playoffs. That's all Steinbrenner and Cashman care about.

BTW - I jumped off the bandwagon 4 years go. Let me know when Cashman is finally gone.

Grisham has been playing at an all-star level, but I keep waiting for him to come back to earth.
He's not 1.000 OPS good, but he's only 28 and had two decent seasons earlier in his career at San Diego.

If we can get a .740 OPS and more of his excellent defense for the remainder of the year, then fantastic.

Ride that hot streak!

The Martian has arrived, he needs to play everyday. Rotate Bellinger and Grisham. Gonna be interesting to see what happens when Stanton comes back or should I say if Stanton comes back.

Great performance by Will Warren last night. Was he a highly touted prospect showing his potential or more of a back-of-the-rotation guy that had a hot night against a bad team?

I think they should trade Grisham before his hitting reverts to the norm.

We should be able to land a competent (not expecting a star) third baseman or reliever.

Oh come on, Boonie says DJ has been making progress “impacting the ball” in rehab.

That's assuming we have a GM.
