I had no idea what to make of BVW when they hired him and have to say, I'm impressed with every move he's made...including not just throwing 300m at Machado or Harper to make a splash.

The bullpen looks to be lights out.
The rotation, if healthy, can be top 3 in the NL - I wouldn't mind adding someone like Keuchel.
Ramos could be a steal at C. Looks like he has all the tools plus a no BS attitude.
The IF finally has depth and lots of options (and one of them isn't Jose Reyes finally).
The OF lacks power, but could be serviceable and defensively decent.
Peter Alonso is a wild card. The guy just hits the out of the ball. If he's for real, that's a huge power lift.
Up to the manager now. The front office filled most of the holes, provided depth....now Callaway has to prove himself.

Great spring from Alonso. The kid just won't stop hitting moonshots. And he's built like a house.

Was pretty funny watching Reddick just bounce off of him yesterday.

Smart move. He is the one guy I want to keep happy. And he's a good guy.

Still 17m this year (10m signing bonus). It’s a little more than I thought he’d get with an opt out but I’m still happy with the deal.

I'm a bit nervous about our pitching depth (If any of our top 3 starters get hurt we're in trouble), but I can't remember the last time we were so stacked on position players. Our bench is deep, and now if we rest a starter we're not putting in a .230 slap hitter and severely weakening the lineup.

Yup. Four games and I’m all in on this team. Alonso is fast becoming a guy I won’t switch the channel if he’s due up that inning.

I like a lot of the youth and energy on the team and hope always springs eternal in Spring for me, but after last year's hot start I'm holding my enthusiasm in check. They mentioned d'Arnoud nearing being ready to return and I really have zero interest in that, but I wish they had mentioned Frazier because JD Davis ain't gonna cut it at third.

SNY said Frazier is close, but Lowrie is still a bit away. Both of them will help, so I'm not worried about 3B right now.

Sugar. Phew. Thank God we have a legit closer. Mid-relief shaky.

Jake—wow. The man.

JDG had his first poor quality start in 26 starts.

Does anyone think that Travis d'Arnaud had anything to do with this? Why would mickey start him this game after being out for ~1 year?

Alonso’s power to CF and RCF are insane.

So I assume pitchers watch tape and get a better strategy on how to attack him....but what about if he’s able to adapt and knows the pitchers better? He’s got power you can’t teach.

That ball Alonso hit last night was insane. I thought off the bat that it would clear the centerfielder's head for a double, but it ended up going 450+ feet.

I read it was the hardest hit HR other than ones hit by Judge and Stanton maybe for 9 years? Don't hold me to the # of years there, but it was impressive by the nerd numbers.

Since 2015, when they started tracking it. Still, pretty impressive.

Nice to see Rosario coming through, too.

Vargas and Oswalt were horrendous on the mound tonight. We still lead the series against the Braves 2-1

Looks like Jake has lost his mojo now that he signed the big contract. This rotation is in trouble without an ace.

Diaz to the rescue. Huge!

ETA: Jeff McNeil even more huge. Glove and bat. He was probably more responsible for the win than anyone.
