The Girls

Sorry Nan but with the lead on the road and your best player potentially playing like she had to, YES you take her out with that much time left in the half. Run the clock when you get possessions and the lead will not dwindle all that much if at all. Chong, Butler, Lou, Nurse and Crystal would have been fine. Especially with Collier in similar trouble. It wasn't a good move but worked out.

That team can't handle one of the core 6 being out of the game. That's why he did it. He took a gamble to try and keep the lead. It backfired, but it was a gamble that he decided to take.

He's also always coaching for March. In March, it may be that they need to play with foul trouble, and need to learn how to do it.

Does Geno take out a junior that's playing phenomenally well to put in a freshman that hasn't played a minute in a tight game? On the road?

The team is realistically only 7 deep and one of those, Butler, struggles against uptempo teams. The only other options are two seldom used freshmen and a former walk on.

Oh, so if they were missing 4 of their top 7 players, including the 3 best players they might struggle? Of course they would. My point is that people on this board should lay off KO.

Geno never follows convention with 2 fouls in the first half. Most of his players tend to be disciplined enough to make it work.
This is the first time I can remember it not working. It may have not worked, but it wasn't a mistake.

The movement off the ball and the way they make the best pass possible is remarkable:
