The "Discuss our seeding and path to the Final Four" Thread

Lunardi's final bracket had us a 4 seed in the West - with Houston, UCLA & Kansas St. Would take that a 1000 times over what we ended up with.

Dude. What? The real bracket is out.

They have no good wins this year guys. They almost lost to Marist yesterday.
Im sure New Mexico St almost lost to some lousy teams also. Think we will win but not a style or coach I would have handpicked. Full court pressure can expose our ball handling, decision making, and lack of true point guard. We need Andre & Newton to show up this game, and take care of the ball. Do that and we should be fine.

Watched a little of their game vs Dayton today. They pressure, though not full throated full court press, technically.

They were being described as excellent defensively and with ball pressure but not that classic havoc style pressure they used to use.

I'm not thrilled with this draw, but they will be tested if they come out unscathed.

Clearly we can play with anybody in the country, just a matter of how consistent we are. No team in America is unbeatable or find it hard to see a way to beating them. It's all out there for us. Clearly some talking heads think we have the make up as well.

EXCITING TIMES!

Lol is this how The Boneyard is gonna react when we gotta play a Pitino team twice next season? It’s March. It shouldn’t be easy. We have a lot of weapons and a 7-2” X-Factor. If our guys play like they are capable, we’ll be fine.

Why is this an important principle? Hilarious that the committee has these intricate principles designed to make the process look objective — and then every year the Committee Chair gets on TV and spouts nonsense about how they actually made their decisions. This year it was dinging Kansas bc Bill Self was in the hospital.
Interesting you say that because I have a hard time believing that they organically while combing through their objective criteria got Kentucky playing Providence. That just seems like too much of a coincidence.

Iona will hang around for a while. They run and Pitino is arguably the best game coach in the business. UConn will pull away in the final 10 minutes.
VCU or St. Mary's will be a walk for Connecticut. VCU is comparable to Seton Hall, and St. Mary's can match with the speed of Connecticut.
