Reese 1-7 from the floor. She had some cruddy games last year too, people were acting like she was awesome all throughout the Tourney. She wasn't. She does have 19 rebounds though.

Rice w/ more made FG, but huge FT shooting advantage for the Tigers. 31 attempts to 8. That will win you most games.

LSU not particularly impressive getting by Rice today.

K State jumped out to a 15 point lead in Q1 against Portland. Pilots have played them even since, but can't get the lead under double digits.
It will be interesting to see the results of the 3-14 games. Considering Rice is only in as they won the AAC tourney, a 10 pt victory over a 19-14/9-9 team (really 16-14 w/o conf tourney games).

Happy to see Middle Tennessee complete the comeback over Louisville.

Unbelievable free throw disparity for LSU vs Rice. They will need to play with a lot more energy to make a run in the tournament. They looked very sluggish and out of sync.

I'm a bit torn. As a Pac 12 homer I should be pulling for Colorado, but I've watched a fair bit of Drake this year and have enjoyed them quite a bit. DU off to a hot start.

Uncle says Gill Coliseum is rocking! Looks like start is delayed a little bit for TV.

Can Baylor hurry up and finish off Vandy so I can see the Oregon St. game please?

Grr. Beavs on a turnover a minute pace. Loera from EWU killing them so far.

At the Maryland-ISU game, and through the first half, Maryland is doing a fine job imitating a top 4 seed. I think they're 75% from outside. Definitely looking more like the team that took tOSU to the woodshed than a 10 seed...

.-.
Colorado up 18 thru 3 quarters. Anna Miller having some tough sledding against Colorado's BIG front line.

ISU climbed out of a hole in a big way in 3Q and we have ourselves a tied ball game going into the fourth. I'll say this - both teams have traveled with some great fan and band energy. Stands are mostly empty but it's still fairly raucus.

Colorado has been maintaining a 14-18 point lead for quite a while. Commentators are trying really hard to convince everybody that Drake is coming back. Based on absolutely nothing.

Whoa, Crooks is going off! Nearing a 40 piece.

86-72 Colorado wins. That Drake comeback the commentators kept promising was coming never did materialize.

Damn. End of Q3 Raegan Beers on the floor holding her ankle, in a lot of pain. That sucks.

Impressive poise by Iowa St. to not fold after the initial onslaught. 40 pts/12 reb for Crooks. Gotta be one of the most productive Tourney games for a Fr. all time.

Nice "Meet Audi Crooks" game for the national audience. The Sunday game of Crooks up against Brinks is the matchup nobody east or west of Iowa knew was something they need to see. Obviously Audi can't go from 40 versus Brinks but she will totally relish the challenge.

At least we Cyclones won't likely see a repeat of Jayne Appel going off for 46 points versus ISU like in 2009. Just known as "The Jayne Appel Game" or the "Jayne Appel Defense Game" among Cyclone fans. We famously, at least among ISU fans, elected to try and stop the rest of the team while not doubling down on Appel as she would "get her points anyway".

Even more than Crooks vs. Brink, it will be fascinating seeing Crooks/Brown vs. Brink/Iriafen.

Beers limped off the floor, then returned to the bench. Didn't play at all in Q4. Beavs held down the fort without her. 73-51 final. I believe a career high 17 for freshman Paurova. Celebrating her 19th birthday w/ her parents and younger sister in the house, all the way from Czech Republic.

I was actually more worried about Maryland than ISU because they're a lot more unpredictable and streaky on offense, and you just need to be hot for 40 minutes in March.

ISU plays a lot like Stanford and I think that'll be a really fun matchup - if it happens. (Heyyo woofing gods, I see you!)
