The Boneyard is in danger of turning into the Summitt

The Boneyard cannot turn into the Summit or Volnation - I'm not even sure that their "moderators" read their own boards. As anyone who read the free Summitt knows - "moderators" sometimes led the charge in innuendo and specious accusations.

Our moderators moderate.

I agree with bellairehusky. The greatest threat to this board is some, for want of a better word, heavy hitters who decide, on occasion, to go on the offensive with what looks like arrogance and bullying tactics so that is exactly what it is. What newbie wants to express a contrary viewpoint only to get derisively dumped on. There is the real enemy to the continued growth and freshness of this board.

And I would say one thing that does bother me along this line happened a few times this week. A visitor coming to offer congratulations and in the course of that added a little something that got picked up as a 'slight' that ended up being more important to responders than the basic purpose which was to offer praise.
