Someone mentioned earlier in the thread. bring your own knife, but I don't think cutting time has a big affect. He still has a good pace going. Just about halfway and I think a little more than half the steak is gone. I think you probably need to have 3/4s done by halftime to make it.

Halfway mark - looks to be about 45% done with the steak, but still has the starches. Wasted a good half minute talking to strangers.
