The GOR grants their rights to the conference, not the network. So the ACC conference owns the rights to all of their media money, not ESPN.ACC teams could move to the SEC (and vice-versa) but nowhere else. Both are fully owned by ESPN. So GOR don't matter in that scenario. B1G is split between Fox and ESPN so that's a non-starter.

How is that operative versus boilerplate spin?Operative words...
Our commitment to our student-athletes is top of mind, and their best interests will be represented prominently. We enjoy a proud athletic heritage with more National Championships than any other Big 12 university, and we will aggressively pursue the opportunities ahead.
Right -- but ESPN is the one paying both sides. So regardless ESPN can make it happen if it's beneficial to them. The GOR grants their rights to the conference, not the network. So the ACC conference owns the rights to all of their media money, not ESPN.
I definitely equate OSU and T. Boones Pickens with ethics.New Oklahoma State president, who took over on July 1, addresses the Texas/OU news and the Big 12. (#notmad)

We are disappointed by the lack of engagement and transparency from our colleagues at OU over the past months on a matter with serious ramifications for our state. We have historically worked together to advance our state and address issues based on a partnership built on trust.

To that end, we will continue to work with purpose to the advancement of our state and the betterment of our fellow Oklahomans. In the ever-changing college athletic landscape, we will honor our values and ethics as we consider the next steps.

Additionally, our university enjoys a great brand known for education, research, and service, and we will move forward with strength. #okstate

Wrong.Right -- but ESPN is the one paying both sides. So regardless ESPN can make it happen if it's beneficial to them.
Yeah, not how it works.Right -- but ESPN is the one paying both sides. So regardless ESPN can make it happen if it's beneficial to them.
If it was up to the basketball forward fans in Tobacco Road...they'd want to pull in Kansas and WVU....They put up with Louisville because they thought they were getting basketball.
Right -- but ESPN is the one paying both sides. So regardless ESPN can make it happen if it's beneficial to them.
If its about basketball why tf would anyone want wvu, C’mon we have 4 ships since 99, are you on drugs?
No one wants us. Though from the looks of it I guess we'll soon be in good company.Let's get UConn into the ACC. If any UConn official wants to stand in the way, show them the door!
A major draw for UConn remains Connecticut's demographics. We bring Hartford-New Haven market and metro New York City. And we cannot forget about our academic excellence and numerous national championships. Don't UConn BB fans want to see UConn playing NC, Duke and UVA?No one wants us. ESPN has to be behind it, after all they own the LHNESPN is really stupid for going along with this move by the SEC. ESPN will be desperately trying to compete with the SEC in about 5 years with whatever scraps it can find if the SEC becomes the P1.
When this all shakes out, if you're not in the B1G or $EC, it's not really going to matter whether you're in the ACC or AAC.A major draw for UConn remains Connecticut's demographics. Definitely seems headed that way. My hope is that it doesn’t ruin basketball for most D1 schools and that there is a provision that allows the “have not” football schools to at least have a convoluted, almost impossible way to a major bowl and/or national championship. When this all shakes out, if you're not in the B1G or $EC, it's not really going to matter whether you're in the ACC or AAC.
