This is by far the player I was most excited to see return, because we saw flashes of how utterly dominant he can be. His confidence grew over the course of the year and he became a major rock in our foundation.

The fouls are something that I think can be addressed quite well. He needs to have confidence in his presence being a factor. He doesn't have to be an elite shot blocker. He's a big dude and just needs to wall up. Sit him in front of a lot of Sanogo tape.

I'm so pumped!

I’d love to know who offered him and how much! Reed needs to shoot a 3 to augment his complete abilities much untapped!

This is now accepted behavior, even for world leaders. No one seems to care.

-Excited we locked him down. Love seeing the roster come together so quickly. Hopefully by end if next week , our roster is basically set.

Hope we get another offseason like the one in 23 with a Euro bonding trip.

-With Tarris Back and Reibe coming in , our Potential Championship fate is sealed. Like our last championships , next’s year potential will run through the center rotation. If Reed and Reibe look like NBA players next year we will dominate. 2 NBA level centers is basically cheating in NCAA basketball.

It was a touchy subject because none of our bigs had perimeter skills so it has made no sense up until now. Reibe has perimeter skills so it makes sense, similar to how Michigan played this year.

Yea Reibe projects to a Kelly Olynk / Markenen type if big. Will fit nicely for space

The Silas announcement to me is the glue that makes a NC possible much like Tristen Newton did for us those 2 years - our MVP :)

We’re seeing in this tourney (Houston last night) how valuable a point guard that can distribute, score and play perimeter D is to the a team that wants to go all the way.

Reed is a beast - huge news!
 
If he can stay on the floor for 35 minutes a game then he should play 35 minutes a game.

We'll need a strong back up if he can't but I'm not wild about a repeat of the 20/20 split with 8 fouls at the 5 next season. It limited our ability to dictate or match up and definitely cost us a couple games.

Definitely a stretch on my part to lump him in with Malone but he was/is a pretty outspoken antivaxxer... ridiculous claims like vaccines were responsible for over a thousand athlete deaths and had several high profile lawsuits that were eventually thrown out. I have a strong dislike for people that spread misinformation regarding public health and safety

I think he will continue to progress. But there are certain matchups that he has trouble with so All American might be a stretch. But All BE is in reach. We are close to being bullet proof, so we should be okay even on those nights.

We have 1 guy who we know can dribble the basketball (i.e. primary ballhandler, but trying to emphasize my point) and he's new to the program. Adams is the presumed backup and he's just as likely to struggle ala Mahaney to make that transition from more scorer to facilitator until we see otherwise

We need a backup pg badly
 
How many roster spots are open?

I count 8 players right now with Ross as a potential 9th

-GA transfer
-Solo
-Stewie
-Reed
-4 frosh

If Ross is back we have 3-4 open slots but last year I believe we carried 12, which would mean 3 slots.

PF and Backup PG are the priorities. Unless of course, AK also makes a post soon :)

He will not be the best player on the team most likely thatll be Demary who will be in the running for CPOY. Dude was on a bad team as a sophomore being asked to do a lot and he balled in the SEC. Just look at Solo and how good he`ll likely be next year only imho Demary is a bit better. I have never been so excited for a portal player. Now we just need a F and back up PG and we are good to go.

In Hurley’s interview with Dan Patrick, he mentioned that eight players are officially confirmed and they could have as many as ten. Two players remain undecided—Alex Karaban, who’s still weighing his NBA Draft decision, and another "unnamed player" who’s also still making up his mind.
