Sunday's games - loaded sked

Arizona St. leading UCLA 34-27, just underway in the 2nd half.

The ACC hosed us this year.. In odd numbered years... Duke is supposed to host UNC on senior night. For some reason they switched it up... And we play in chapel Hill today.

No furniture will be permanently harmed. Though some chicken fingers and apple pie are in danger of getting demolished in the event that we get upset

Demolished via throwing at any particular person?

DePaul secures the Big East title with a 79-70 win over Georgetown. Jessica January, in only her 2nd game back after a two-month injury period, notches a triple-double: 16 points, 13 rebounds, 10 assists.

That's only the 3rd trip-dub in DePaul program history — and she had one of those earlier this season. I'm convinced she could've been an all-American this year if not for the injury.

Senior day for another special senior class: January, Brooke Schulte, Jacqui Grant.

Cal has buzzer beating 3's at the end of the 2nd and 3rd quarter...but trails by 16. Oregon St. took control in the 3rd. Anigwe decked an OSU player w/ an elbow in the 1st half and got a flagrant one. In the second half she nailed a teammate in the throat w/ an elbow and knocked her out of the game. Second leading scorer in the game for Cal. Anigwe needs to get the elbows under control.

UNC is giving Duke a battle, despite missing two starters including Watts. Just closed it to 32-25 and forces JPM to call a timeout.

I will be very upset with Duke if they get upset today.

NCState leads Virginia after 3 quarters, 41-32. Leading scorer the Wolfpack Women, Chelsea Nelson, only with one point so far today. Virginia shooting only 27% from the field in an ugly game.

UCLA now leading ASU 44-39 early 4th quarter.

Cal scores 5 straight to start the 4th quarter.

UCLA-Arizona State going down to the wire. One-point game under a minute to play.

Wouldn't the chicken fingers and apple pie get demolished one way or another? That is, after all, kind of their purpose in life. (Or in the case of the chickens, I suppose, their unfortunate purpose in death.)

WHEW! NCState wins in Charlottesville for the first time in 11 years, 59-48 and secures the #4 seed and that all-important double bye in the ACCT. Wolfpack Women improve to 22-7, 12-4 ACC. Virginia falls to 18-11, 7-9 ACC and gets the 8-seed, and will play Wake Forest in the ACCT.

#25 Michigan @ Penn St, 2 pm, BTN PENN ST 76-75 UPSET

After getting upset by Michigan State the other day, not going to help Michigan's seeding.

Saw the Wolverines recently at home twice - they creamed Nebraska as they should to a bottom dweller, but they had a hard time putting away Wisconsin with only 3 conference wins, so I am guessing ranked but not a particularly strong team.

They won't be ranked as of tomorrow.

Michigan has lost 3 of their last 4 games. They've probably slid back to an 8 seed at this point, flirting with a 9. They're still #3 in the conference, but they really need to at least win their first game in the Big Ten tourney to feel secure.

Duke took care of business and pulled away in the second half. Since BC lost to VT, UNC will be the #14 seed in the ACCT and will face #11 Georgia Tech in the first round. Watts was out again with a reported bruised knee. Not looking good for UNC's hopes of finishing .500. They'd have to beat GT and then Syracuse the next day.

U Tenn is up 18 - 8 On Miss. St. at end of first quarter

Miss St is off to a dreadful start, cold as ice. 4 of 22 on FG.

Showcase for the currently most overrated team in the women's college game vs the most overrated program in the history of the women's college game. Tried to watch but the sun is shining outside and I don't have an hour and a half of life to waste on this debacle.
