I am hoping for the best from the Wolfpack Women at Virginia; a win secures a double-bye in next week's ACCT and keeps alive hopes of getting a top 4 seed and hosting games in the NCAAT. Virginia needs a win to enhance their NCAAT resume...and they are playing better. It will not be easy for NCState today.

Some conference regular season championships will be decided today but the tourney may predicate what seeding these teams have. Lots of jumbled teams with a possibility of losing a conference game could cost them a seed line.

Yes...if the Wolfpack loses today, we do fall to the 6 seed. Louisville would then get the 4 seed...and Syracuse the 5 spot.

A Wolfpack win gets us the 4 seed, based on potential tie-breakers with Louisville and Syracuse.

We can claim the 3 seed if we win today and Duke falls to UNC...based on head to head win over Duke. In that scenario, Duke would get the 4 seed.

It should be noted that NCState hasn't won AT Virginia since 2006, when Kay Yow was still our coach. That stat is a little skewed, since we only play in Charlottesville every other year now...but still, it has been a long time. Of the ACC members of 20 years or more, Virginia is the only conference team with a winning record against NCState.

NCState leads Virginia, 19-11, at the end of the 1st quarter. Wolfpack has three THREEs already...and has made all four of its FT. Doing a great job of penetrating that ever present zone Virginia plays and driving to the basket.

Cal @ Oregon St. is airing currently on Pac 12. OSU looking much better than Friday night against Stanford. Scored 24 in the 1st quarter, more than they had at halftime against the Cardinal. Leading 29-14 w/ 8:00 in the 2nd quarter.

The ACC hosed us this year.. In odd numbered years... Duke is supposed to host UNC on senior night. For some reason they switched it up... And we play in chapel Hill today.

No furniture will be permanently harmed. Though some chicken fingers and apple pie are in danger of getting demolished in the event that we get upset

NCState leads Virginia at halftime, 31-20. Both teams clamped down defensively in the 2nd quarter and there was a four-minute stretch where neither team scored but did commit lots of fouls and turnovers. It should be 33-20, but an inadvertent whistle with 8 seconds left cancelled out a putback by DD Rogers...and then NCState turned the ball over.

I loved their feature on Kelsey Plum. While Lobo and Landers were interviewing her, Plum told about how she told coach Neighbors during the summer to take off his Final Four ring because this was a new season and she didn't want them to be a one-hit wonder. I love that kid.
