Stanford is looking awful again today. A bunch of turnovers and poor shots. Trailing USC 16-11 late in Q1. Maya Dodson is out injured again. Foul trouble piling up already, 3 players w/ 2 fouls.

That Iowa-Maryland game was really entertaining. Good back and forth, game of runs. Iowa happened to get the last run. Huge 2nd half for Gustafson after the Terps held her in check in the 1st half.

edited--Iowa sure can shoot FTs--27-29

MD is 2-3 vs top 20 teams...are they a top 10 team? or a 3 seed?

Massy #49 strength of schedule that no one notices

Wow, Kennedy Leonard is listed on the box score for Colorado today! She hasn't played for about a month and a half. But no Alexis Robinson, so they can't catch a break apparently.

Arizona is leading the Buffs by 12 early in Q4. Cats getting some balanced scoring today.

MD triple teaming Gustafson. Teammates will have to comp big. So far, they are.
Gustafson had quite the second half! Impressed with both teams.

Stanford has 6 made FG and 9 TOs, trailing 23-15 midway thru Q2. What happened to the Cardinal?

USC up 32-17 over Stanford now. Card just can't hit anything. Where did the team that beat Baylor go?

edit 8-26 FG 1-12 behind the arc 12 TOs---PUTRID!

Id forgotten that this is A Howard's return to College Station. Lemme tune in to see the post game handshake line.

Miss. St. is running away w/ it, up 80-54.

Iowa was ranked at #10 in the committee’s reveal last Monday. Just ahead of Maryland at #11.

Iowa is afflicted by the same home court hero syndrome as Michigan State. They are undefeated at home (14-0) but only 6-4 on the road. (They also have a neutral court loss to Florida State.) Iowa has already split its season series with Michigan, Michigan State and Purdue, with the home team winning each of those six games.

But they aren't as abysmal on the road as Michigan St. That drubbing by a bad Wisconsin team is still fresh in my mind.

Arizona wins 63-51, climbs back to .500 in conference. Only 13 for McDonald, Reese had 17 and McBryde also had 13.

Stanford finally gets a few buckets late, down 36-26 at half. USC really should be up by quite a bit more than 10.

Syracuse beat Wake by 20 and Florida St. crushed Pitt. Kentucky survived Arkansas 61-59.

nwhoopfan, are you watching the game or just following the score? I'd love a neutral gut check on whether you think the unsportsmanlike on Carrington was BS. From my perspective, Moore was all theatrics, falling back before Carrington had barely made contact. USC seems to be playing a very aggressive junk ball game, and the refs don't seem to know what to call and what to let go.

Edited to add: And Fingall's torn ACL came from our first game against USC off a really dirty USC play, so I guess I'm especially paranoid about their overly aggressive style of play.

I watched the first quarter but then started switching back and forth with other games, I totally missed the unsportsmanlike call. Last year USC was totally over the top w/ their physicality, it looks like they've maybe toned it down some this year but they are definitely not my favorite team.

Miami hanging close with Louisville, midway through the 3rd. 39-37 game.

4 techs in the Miss State/TAMU game? What happened?
Carter fouled McCowan hard, then those two went at it resulting in a double tech. Blair picked one up, then Carter shortly picked up her second tech, and was ejected. On her way back through the tunnel she broke something it looked like. Not a good look for her. She had a really nice first half though, but it seemed like her shots were swishes (at the beginning) or bricks (toward the middle). Not sure if she was tired or just bad shot selection.

Unusual way to win for MSST from outside rather than inside. AEH was the STAR, 24 points, seven 3 pointers. If she can continue will mean teams can no longer ignore her 3 point shot.

Wow, Carter trying to tangle w/ McCowan? Giving up almost a foot and probably 50 pounds or more.
