Good for him; bad for me. I won't be able to see him play at NHS next year during Winter break! Gardner is also a Norwalk kid, and a D-I talent in the NEC/America East/MAAC mold. Congrats to both of them!

We used to stash guys at T-More quite a bit and then a whole lot of bad blood formed with Ajou... I think Quinn tried to talk Drummond out of committing/reclassifying. Hopefully Quinn only had an issue w/ JC.

I don't know Quinn's relationship with KO but KO recruited AD after Sellers left. So now we have two guys, Quinn and Mathews, who want the attention of big schools. Doesn't make it impossible just a pain in the neck, quite frankly.

im not really sold on enoch. We will see once he takes his talents to nepsac

He's played really well against some top big men in a few games.

I've seen him ranked in the top 40 in some places now. What else is it you are looking for?

how much clearer could i have been? him playing in nepsac and not at norwalk. This summer circuit is nice, but if he were to perform well consistently vs sophisticated coaching i would be more convinced. he sort of just came out of nowhere thats why im weary. not that it matters, any of these bigs work in ollies scheme.

So out-playing some of the elite bigs this summer isn't a good enough body of work to convince you? I hope we land him.

I trust coach Ollie and his staff much more than someone who sits at home and critiques players from a far.

Size, skill, athletic ability, and rapid improvement (indicating hard work and love for the game) are enough at this point, and he's shown those. The rest is coaching and KO can provide that. He's not going to show anything in NEPSAC that would discredit him.

People that watch him play high school ball in Fairfield County say he doesn't have heart. But the talent is there - I trust KO to lock him up and show him our ways.

Come on Steven, let's get this done already! Can't wait to root for you 10 years from now when you take timeout from your lucrative NBA career to play in the JC Charity game!

Playing in the Big Strick Classic today...

UConn remains in the hunt for the former Norwalk High star who will play at St. Thomas More this winter. Former Husky and USA National Team hopeful Andre Drummond attended the same prep school and was coached by Enoch's AAU coach, George Matthews, growing up.

"We have an official visit, I think it's planned for September along with a couple other colleges," said Enoch, 16, who seems to attract a new college seeking his services every time he fires up another 3-pointer.

"It's nice because (coach Kevin Ollie) was in the NBA a very long time and he was a really good player," Enoch added. "He knows about basketball and he's a good coach -- a great coach."

Enoch took an unofficial visit to UConn in June, but is also generating interest from Memphis, Oregon, VCU, Virginia and Providence among others.

"I might be deciding really soon," Enoch said. "I don't know when, but it's just a matter of really wanting to go somewhere."

There's some good news.....decide soon, Steve, and come be a Husky!

I like our chances against these schools (especially Oregon, since Enoch doesn't seem to have a crew of funky handlers). Although I sure would be pissed if Cooley swooped down and picked up another CT kid.

Tremont Waters in 2nd of the 3pt. Keep em both home!

I really want Enoch , seems like a player that keeps on getting better. I was listening to Gottleib show one day and he was asked who was the player that was he most surprised in while playing AAU ball. He said Paul Pierce. Pierce was a chubby back up center that made himself into a player and Enoch has same potential.

Breakdown: Virtually unknown outside of his region as a high school junior, Enoch was terrific in the spring and summer, and is a consensus top-100 recruit nationally as a result.

The big man should increase his profile even further, as he transferred from Norwalk (CT) to the regarded prep school program at St. Thomas More.

Enoch parlayed his spring play into invites and attendance at the highly-regarded Pangos All-American camp and NBPA Top 100 camp. He is reportedly a late blooming post prospect, who has come on strong as of late. As a result, there’s plenty of reason to believe he’ll continue on the same trajectory going forward.

To no surprise, Enoch has accumulated armfuls of scholarship offers. His home-state program, UConn, will not doubt work hard to stave off numerous foes for his college services.

"I might be deciding really soon," Enoch said. "I don't know when, but it's just a matter of really wanting to go somewhere."

Is he basically saying 'I really want to go somewhere and will make it official soon but I don't know when.'

Or am I misinterpreting what he's saying? Sounds like he knows he wants to come here and he's just going through the process out of necessity.

For him to be hanging around the UConn fam so much and not commit to us would be odd. Hope he does it soon so I can stop worrying then add Stone and whoever else then we be all set.
