When they ask.... tell them we came in second.
St. John's was next to last.

Not enough actual shooters
Good Point.Not enough actual shooters
The fans have sensed what this team is (very soft) for awhile...sorry Danny but it was never on us. Let's see if the guys fare better outside of the BE now or if we just caught a few good teams early in the season to bolster our resume. It was the fan’s fault.
Ball with that wide open 3. All I could do was laugh when he missed it.This is true. Was there and that was the end of it.
Demary is just not a natural PG - he's a combo guard that has some passing ability. He has a really bad tendency to dribble into nothing off balance, or hit a wall and pivot.I think Demary is tough but he has no one to help him out with pressure. Sure can't rely on Smith in a double PG system. I'm sure Hurley envisioned them playing together when we were getting pressured so much. Unfortunately Smith is not a UConn level player.
I will remember pissing away the easiest Big East title in the history of either conference to a dogshit Marquette team and then getting nationally embarassed in the title gameNot a good or memorable season. Losing the conference and tourney to saint johns is painful. This team might not be good enough to advance to the sweet 16. Hurley needs to reconsider how he builds his teams because we lack size athleticism and talent/ability. Good luck in the tourney.
Why? Let him go. Easier to move onSending a search and rescue team for solo ball
Yeah the secret is out. Team is soft, only Reed can stand up to any physicality, the guards wings and backup big get overwhelmed against it. That second game against them couldn’t have been more of a fluke.
Lack of certain upperclassmen taking a leap. in fact doing the exact opposite. Some juniors have rapidly regressed. This obviously isnt even close to the worst team we've had under Hurley but I think it's the least enjoyable to watch. It's torture. Something is so off about them

Yeah, that is why he needed another ball handler to help. Smith was suppose to be that. He was anything but that.Demary is just not a natural PG - he's a combo guard that has some passing ability. He has a really bad tendency to dribble into nothing off balance, or hit a wall and pivot.
You are nutsWhy? Let him go. Easier to move on
Who knows he's a 🤡What are these "smoke other butts"?
It’s kind of amazing most of the board doesn’t seem to realize that. We lost 8 games in 2022-23 in the big east, a team constructed very similar to this one. Not saying we will win a championship but the overreactions and pearl clutching on here are….something.They don’t let you play like teams play vs us anywhere but the Big East.
You don’t get grabbed/held/bumped/tackled every possession in the tournament and have it not called.
It’s why we are always better out of conference.
Only one more loss and you won't have to see it ever again. Or six wins.Alex has no business inbounding the ball. If I see him pass the ball to the ref and let the defense get set on the press one more time I will not have a television
Calf injury.I didn't make it to the end, what happened with Silas?
How was the injury coming all season?Demarys injury was coming all Big East season. And because our coach would rather do performative freak outs to build his brand by freaking out on random calls during the game instead of legitimately protecting his players through lobbying through the media and postgame, we may have lost him all season. Disgraceful.
I agree. That's been the problem all season. Demary needed to be the alpha, but he hasn't been able to carry the load. Karaban just isn't an alpha or Reed. There are no alpha's on this team- El-Amin, Hamilton, Okafor, Kemba, Shabazz, Clingan, Spencer, etc.. Thats what we need next year. Someone that thrives on the pressure.
