So the coaches were wrong to pick him as the 1st all team big east. I have to agree with the coaches who play against him then a fan who is definitely doesn't like him for him not being a prototypical PG. He was our best player at the end of last year. I love how some people just want to knock Cole due to his lack of height and speed. He made up for it with quickness, basketball smart and savvy. The fact that people keep holding up Cole as this standard for good PG just shows how clueless some of these guys really are to what good is.
He was our worst PG since the 90s. It’s between him and Gibbs (another transfer PG). He is not some standard of player.
Terrible guard play. Need a pt, bad. Tristen has to walk the ball.up with his back to the basket. Start Diarra and come of the bench with Joey. Joey is in a slump but still shooting.
AJ needs to stop trying to prove he's a baller. You can't stop everything.
Sanogo needs to jump. And stop being so robotic. Teams have adjusted.
Hawk keep shooting. But you really need to work on your handle. You should come back next year.
Danny, needs to change up O and D. Can't keep pressing or picking up at half court then chasing to the rim. Gets us out of position on the screen.
He also needs to learn to shoot the 15 footer when he is open- that is a good, makeable shot and it would open up the middle if he can start nailing them. He had a couple of opportunities and instead chose to back into the basket as usual.I agree, Sanogo played well enough... just not great. We're putting too much pressure on him defensively at the moment and he looks worse than he is as well.
The one thing I would change is get the kid to stop dribbling in the post. His shooting % when he dribbles 3 or more times is abysmal.
SureLmao yeah you have no idea what you’re watching man.
Yeah, ok. Playing 14 minutes per game, or in the G league (until today), not playing at all in 29 of his team's last 37 games for one of the 4 worst teams in the NBA.WTH am i reading. Bouk is in the NBA. CV is my favorite husky of the last 15 years but where is he?
Well, they could have gotten Nate Oates back thenI’m begging for one of the Hurley haters to tell me who they think would be a reasonable & attainable replacement
I'm not convinced it's coaching that's the issue. It's that Hurley isn't getting guys like Vital and Adams. They’re exactly what this team needs… but are they who they are with Hurley coaching them? I have no idea. Newton was suppose to be good. So was Diggins. Gaffney looked good as a freshman. We’ll have to see how Castle does next year.

He’s a Hurley homer. There’s no sense arguing.Lmao yeah you have no idea what you’re watching man.

Agree on Adams. He was a 5* and you can see it in HS. Vital was a three star I think though. He was all heart and development.I'm not convinced it's coaching that's the issue. It's that Hurley isn't getting guys like Vital and Adams.
Never even recall interviewing himWell, they could have gotten Nate Oates back then
I liked Vital as he definitely was a leader by his Sr. year and a steady offensive threat to go along with Bouk but Adams was the opposite. He never lived up to his hype and was soft and worried about getting fouls. Adams wouldn't be the answer.Agree on Adams. He was a 5* and you can see it in HS. Vital was a three star I think though. Hurley is in charge. Dan Hurley. I know it’s hard to tell cuz he’s comatose, but that’s the guy.HOW can this team make the same basic mistakes over and over ???
Do they practice ???
An embarrassment, everything was out of sync. WHO is in charge ?????
I was a big fan of his. He was stuck with limited talent around him, but he gave UConn his heart and Blood sweat and tearsJalen Adams is exactly what this team needs. And I wasn't even the biggest fan of him. But his style is what this team needs.
Oh he had interest.Never even recall interviewing him
We are no where close to a Sweet 16 team right now.
Jalen always be remembered the clutch 80 footer he made against Cincinatti at that epic 4 overtime thriller. A great shot that reminded me of the Scotty Burrell to Tate George play against Clemson back in 1990.I was a big fan of his. Yeah, hope he's investing it wisely. And collecting 11 mill
Not only are they the worst team in the league but also the dumbestAnd collecting 11 mill
I didn’t want to believe this and I don’t want to pile on. But it’s sure starting to look like that. Then Hurley is your guy.
If you want to ever win a national title again, then we need to start looking for a better coach. This guy doesn't have it.
He made a couple of other clutch plays during that game too. He always seemed to have “it”. He just never had the talent around him to do much. Wish he reclassified to come in and have Boatright mentor him instead of Gibbs.Jalen always be remembered the clutch 80 footer he made against Cincinatti at that epic 4 overtime thriller. Vital became who you (and I) fondly remember with Hurley coaching him. Any other claim is preposterous. They’re exactly what this team needs… but are they who they are with Hurley coaching them? Source itOh he had interest.
He had a ton of interest.
Don’t get me going on that.
There was another name in the pot too.
We went with Dan Hurley.
Trend?Hurley just had a clinic run on him by Anderson.
It’s hard for me to believe that when we haven’t seen him do it again. It makes me ask if it was just a carry over of KO’s coaching or was it Hurley’s new energy or what. Because he hasn’t been able to replicate it since.Vital became who you (and I) fondly remember with Hurley coaching him. Any other claim is preposterous.
You used up you Mulligan when you admitted to forgetting about Gilbert.
The team that surrounded Adams in his Senior year was most unfortunate for him. It's with good reason that you wish this team had him.
Now you have shamelessly moved the goal posts. Disingenuous is worse than overblown. And I say that as someone generally (and sometimes admiringly) amused by your creative persistence in attempts to keep the balloon aloft. They are not better than Adams, Vital, and Whaley was a DPOY.
Polley, one of the worst of the bunch, was 6th man of the year. Carlton transfered and became All Conference for a very good Houston team. The whole Hurley was left with nothing is overblown.
