Even though there were upset losses this past week, Stanford, LSU, and UConn all won.

Perhaps this will keep all of the critics and hall-of-fame worthy coaches on the BY busy today.

SC, Stanford, LSU, UConn...but once LSU loses either to Tenn or SC then they should drop

If SOS beats record, UConn is a #2. If other way, UConn is a #3. Either way, Stanford should be #4 though there may be a case to be made for Indiana at #4.

I voted UConn 4th but I would not be surprised if UConn remains 5th...move both Stanford and LSU up 1 and only drop Ohio State down 2 spots to 4th.

I think the AP will vote UConn #2 to set up a 1vs2 game next Sunday with South Carolina.
Depends on wheter the most voters are espn biased or FOX biased. Kidding sort of.

ESPN BROADCASTS have always touted 1v 2 matchups based in the AP poll, but if they has the broadcast, they might change that.

FOX has not tied themselves up and could easily Just go with 1 vs 2 in hyping the game.

Does AP really matter?

SC is number 1 until/if they loose and maybe loose 2 games
UConn Stanford Indiana are 2 3 4 and should be pretty close
LSU until they play somebody ranked should not be higher then 5 and Tenn tonite is not ranked. If they loose to Tenn tonite they drop
Next up is ND Utah UCLA and Duke

With that said the pollsters will keep LSU at 2 because they are undefeated and Stanford UConn Indiana at 3 4 5 not necessarily in that order

I will be SC #1, LSU #2, Stanford #3 ( even though they had a close game at home against OSU), Indiana #4 leaps us then Uconn... close win at home vs Nova,,,,,,

I Hope we get a #4, but there’s no telling what the AP will show.

The survey asks us to guess what others will think. Just going by the stats, RPI has us at #1 and NET puts us at #2. The “eye test,” which the AP poll mainly reflects and which is often tricked by shiny surfaces, has to account for SC, UConn, Stanford, IU, and LSU — tOSU has lost its shine so they’ll be out of the picture. so far, the AP has liked to rank LSU higher than their actual achievement. I suspect that trend will continue and we may still be a #5.

Fortunately, the AP is not as influential come March as the NET. If we win out, even with a loss to SC, we’ll likely end up a #1 seed in the tournament. Not that it matters. Even as a #2 seed, we’d probably be in the same regional.

Since So Cal beat #2 Stanford recently and beat #25 Colorado yesterday, So Cal should be #2. Can you imagine all the talk about WCBB if USC and USC were #1 and #2!! Fight On!!

Looks like this weeks Power rankings weigh SOS more than record and rank SCar, UConn, LSU, Stanford, and Indiana as the top 5.

With 3 straight losses, Ohio State will need to go to down
No way. Three straight losses so they deserve to drop way more.
You're right, didn't realize Ohio State lost three in a row....my bad.
Ohio State lost three games in a row this week!
:D So I've been told, Ohio State lost three straight games, I think I redeemed myself to one of the posts above...sorry for my screwups.

...i did say I wouldn't be surprised.

ESPN moved UConn to the 2 spot. I think Stanford is over-ranked. They've had close calls at home against un-ranked teams (Oregon & Oregon State).

SC..LSU...Stanford..Uconn...although Indiana may jump ahead of Uconn with the win over Ohio State who drops 8 spots with 3 losses this week

Current SOS:
UCONN 1
SC 22
INDIANA 18
STANFORD 9
LSU 118
