Bozzella had nothing but praise for UConn and Geno in his angry and frustrated post-game presser. He knew the handicap UConn was playing under last night, but he attributed UConn's perennial success to its recruiting not only great athletes, but selfless and motivated players who are leaders both on and off the court. A tinge of jealousy there, but he also realizes that the UConn rising tide is what raises all boats in the Big East.

The BIG East has gotten progressively better each year since UConn rejoined the conference. That’s not a coincidence.

Anyone else notice when Geno, Dorka and Amari came out the players were (naturally) in a good frame of mind And someone asked a question I couldn't hear and both players went flat. Puzzling.

Players (and Geno) probably wanted to get out of town ASAP. That's a long bus ride back. Team probably didn't get home until after 1 in the morning, and then they have classes today.

Hey I would too. At the start of the game, Meg Culmo mentioned that UConn lacked outside shooters without Azzi. The team must have heard that and was determined to prove her wrong.

If people are going to make snide comments about good guy Coach Bozzella instead of complain, I’d rather have the complaints.
