Seton Hall Post Game Thread

I believe Stewart started that game and Mullins was coming off the bench in Kansas. Either way Ball is in a bad funk and doesn't seem to be playing out it at the moment.
They both played together in those games and both had good games in those games.

I agree Solo is in a funk. He was basically unplayable in the second half tonight.

Dan had a very crappy post game interview with Andy Katz, Andy didn’t deserve that arrogant comeback on what seemed like a good question. Please stop with “…. 4 games against SH doesn’t define my legacy…” Bull crap. Was disappointed in that, felt bad for Katz!
Andy Katz is a loser, he deserved every bit of that

I would hope not. And between here and twitter, there a genuinely fans who don’t feel good about the team. I’m perplexed
Why would you hope that I wasn't happy with the win? We haven't won here in 4 previous tries even with better teams than this one. I'm happy.

You misunderstood. I would hope no one thought that game would be easy.

We won a tough conference road game. That's awesome 👌

We looked really good before we didn’t, not sure what to think

Reed was awesome, and yet almost cost us the game with free throws. I'm actually surprised Hall didn't resort to hack a Reed in the final minutes

Hurley was wound too tight in his post game interview with Katz. Love you Dan, chill. It's OK to be human

We won

Whoop whoop whoop

Hurley’s got to tread lightly with Solo in my opinion. He’s an emotional player and any strike to his confidence might tailspin him.

Solo’s defense then turnovers helped kickstart the elimination of the 16 pt lead, got benched, and we brought it back to 10. Hurley went with him one more time and his play got worse, more turnovers and missed assignments, and the lead evaporated.

He’s got to figure it out if we’re going to have any success in March. Malachi can’t take his minutes
Well said. He seems like the kind of player who gets down on himself or loses his confidence easily. Immense talent. Needs to take a page from Demary's book on toughness and just stay focused and let mistakes go. He has improved but just needs to get through this.

Hurley gave it to andy Katz in the post game interview -didn’t like those Seton Hall questions. - Demary ice water in the end at the line - Tarris was a beast, but gotta make his free throws and Mullins of course with a couple big shots. I thought he also played really good D tonight Really nice win.

All Hurley did was correct him. He was factually incorrect.

Seton Hall is a tournament team if they play like that all year long. Need to hit a few 3s but the way they play they will be in all their games and can make some noise in the tourney.

I’m confident he’ll regain his shooting form.

Seton Hall, combined with ACC refs, will not be able to field a team in the 2H.

We hit our foul shots or more specifically Tarris we win easy
I'm so happy we won and I love our team, but...

Both teams missed 10 FTs. Imagine if SH hit most of theirs or a couple more 3s.

The officiating was horrid, but UConn played poorly, struggled again to inbound the ball, made 3 FGs in the last 10 minutes (2 by Mullins and 1 by Reed), gave up a whopping 16 offensive rebounds, just 8 points from the bench, turned it over 14 times (5 belonged to Ball), shot 3-17 from 3 (Ball 1-7)...Solo seems to have lost his way.

I still think solo will figure it out. He was playing well up until the past couple weeks, showing a much improved overall game in spite of not shooting the three all that well the season.

That was an extremely painful second half to watch, but we're leaving New Jersey with a win for the first time in 5 at, and against the top 25 team.

If Seton Hall manages to sneak into the NCAA tournament they're going to finish the game with 3 walk ons playing 5 on 3 for the entire 2nd half. That team is coached to dare the refs to call every foul
It's a major reason why some Big East teams perform poorly in the NCAA tournament. It's also why UConn always seems to perform better out of conference and in the NCAA tournament than in the Big East. The way this league is reffed does nobody any favors though it might make UConn mentally tougher having to play through all the bullc^^p.

I'm not worried about them not adjusting. They will still do well in the tourney. Halloway's St. Peters team played that way and got to an Elite 8.

Solo is much better when he focuses on making the shot and doesn’t look to draw contact. He started that crap early this season and it pit him in a funk he can’t shake out of yet. But it’s coming!

That said, UConn is just a different team in conference games. You see it with the bench. 3 and 8 bench points two out of the last three games. Conference play is always a grind, never pretty. Glad to be 7-0!

I may be mistaken but I thought Danny said "games played at Seton Hall don't define my career". I interpreted it as Danny poking fun at his days as a college player.
